SMUDGE

Name: Smudge (current) > Wasppaw (future)
Allegiance: Barn cat (former stray) > WindClan
Gender: Female
Age: 7 moons

» APPEARANCE

A patchy tortie with a white tuxedo and dark yellow eyes.

Smudge still has some growing to do - something quite obvious from her large paws, skinny limbs and general gawkiness. While her ribs show through her fur though, her frame is surprisingly long and sturdy, showing she's destined to be somewhat large - or at the very least tall.

With a thin, soft coat that's only little longer than short, she tends to feel the cold, and has to seek out warm places to sleep when it's chilly. She has a few half-grown patches of tattered fur from old scrapes, and a couple small scars.

Her tortie pelt itself is quite nice - mostly black, which makes her ginger and white patches stand out.

» PERSONALITY

Smudge is a bit of a loner. She's the prickly the way a hedgehog is, sensibilities bristling from a soft center. Her awkward demeanor easily reads as standoffishness, and she has a habit of looking grumpy and aloof whenever she's uncomfortable.

She's a worrywort and an overthinker, and cares a lot more about how others perceive her than one would first guess.

Cautious, Smudge doesn't like to overextend herself. Despite this though, she has a good grip on her general abilities and isn't so nervous that she's overly fearful.

» NOTES

  • Smudge's life began beneath a rundown twoleg house, a common haunt for the local strays. Her life wasn't overly glamorous, but she still felt safe enough there until one day, her littermates started being taken by humans. The last to be caught, weeks after her family had disappeared one by one, Smudge finally learnt where they'd gone when she was dumped unceremoniously on the side of the thunderpath, left to fend for herself.
  • This was how she eventually stumbled upon the barn a few days later - drawn by the first structure she saw in the wide open fields. Tired, sore and hungry, despite a renewed fear of twolegs, the youngster decided better the devil you know than the one you don't.
  • Smudge's name was given to her because of the dust that accumulated on her coat from living under her former twoleg home, giving her pelt a permanently smudgy look. Now that she lives at the barn though, her fur is considerably cleaner.
  • Smudge has searched the barn's surrounding fields to see if her family were also abandoned there, but has yet to find any of them.
