Maybe This Time Tomorrow
The Rain Will Cease To Follow
The Rain Will Cease To Follow
.
Most nights Latte was perfectly happy to curl up wherever was at least somewhat comfortable that could fit both her and Zii. Most nights. Tonight however she was restless, tossing and turning before finally giving up and crawling out of the temporary den hidden in the twoleg park for some air. The moon had already reached its peak and begun its descent.
Paws moved across the short grass to a twoleg structure surrounded by bits of bark, climbing to the top of the strange twoleg building she'd seen their kits playing and milling about on during the day. It wasn't as tall as a tree, but it still afforded a good view of the area. Let her listen to the sounds of twolegplace in relative safety: dogs barking in the distance, the occasional rumble of a monster on the nearby mini thunderpath. If she really strained to listen Latte imagined she'd hear the sounds of the forest too if there was ever a lull in the city's sounds.
Green eyes took in her surroundings, jaws parted to taste the air. Nothing that seemed wildly out of the ordinary. It was so quiet tonight that she wasn't quite sure why she was restless. Maybe it was simply the greenleaf heat. Maybe it was the thought that this time ages ago had been when she'd seen her twolegs for the last time...
Soft pawsteps drag the molly from her thoughts and her head tilts, turning to the sound with no real urgency to the movement. If it was a kittypet or someone just passing through then all was well and good, if it was someone looking for trouble then surely Zii would wake and come to her defense. That had been the way of it for... far too long now.
"Good evening," She calls out from her perch, tail high and waving lazily behind her. "Enjoying the peace and quiet, are we?"
"Speech", 'Thoughts'
