Captain entered Riverclan Camp, seeing a few heads turn as the old seadog sauntered in. His tail upright with pride as he looked for someone to talk to, his eyes meeting the nearest Warrior. He wasn't sure how this worked, the cats had just mentioned their freedom in Riverclan. He looked around, seeing the mixture of confused and concerned faces that a kittypet had stumbled into their camp.

"Ahoy Riverclan!"
He started, tail still upright pridefully as the older tom looked at the crowd. "I 'ave come t' seek asylum within yer walls." He paused, seeing a few heads tilt in confusion, chuckling to himself. These youngsters... "I mean, I wish t' join ye all. Ye've touched dis ole sailor's heart."

He sits in the middle of camp, looking at the various faces. He recognizes a few as cats that visited him in the campground, smiling at them and puffing his chest out in pride. He might be older, but he's sure he can teach these youngsters a thing or two.

an older seal point tom with green eyes. 'tis the tale o' an ole seadog named Cap'n. Now forced ashore due t' his twolegs retirin', he be lookin' fer somewhere pleasant t' spend the rest o' his days. He had a mate who be now sadly wit' Davey Jones 'n two lovin' sprogs. He be known by many kittypets in the area due t' his age 'n be a rather pleasant tom t' be around, even if he can be a bit hard t' understand at times.

Having some of the campground kittypets join them helped, especially with the surplus in kits. They would need to learn the ways of their clan, but in the meantime they could help around camp. Errand runners they were. It wasn't too bad though. It wasn't as if they were confined to camp. They were allowed to go on patrols, but only those that were for hunting or gathering herbs. Bit by bit they were learning about their new home and their clanmates. He was in the middle of talking with Bayhowl when a loud voice boomed from the entrance of camp. His fur bristled from the sudden shout, turning, green eyes landing on one of the campground kittypets.

The conversation of what they should teach Umber and Dark next would have to wait another day. A quick glance of the clan showed varied expressions. Some were absolutely furious, which was understandable. Even though they were aware of the Campground kittypets and tolerated them while they were here, it didn't mean they had to be happy about a stranger waltzing in their home. Especially with how the much older male appeared prideful. It wouldn't surprise him if one his clanmates padded up to Captain and smacked them. As for those who were once part of the campground, they appeared to be happy. That was expected. They may be riverclanners now, but it's not like their old friends would be completely thrown aside.

Damage control. That's what he had to do. Even if their new joiners such as Poseidon would be displeased, he needed to consider the feelings of everyone else. Especially given the fact that the clan has added more cats within their ranks. Some were cats that were brought with little warning to the clan, where he had to make a rapid decision. It bothered him a little bit. How he was presented cats who were gleaming with the promise of being told they could join RiverClan without his permission. In any case, his expression serious as he approached Captain.
"Hello."
Silver paws come to a halt a tail length away from the brown tom.
"My name is Pikestar, leader of RiverClan."
How should I go about this? He doesn't look harmless, but the clan will say something if I just let him run free.
"I understand that you wish to join, but we have rules here. A proper way of doing things. "

Not really. Maybe I should enforce a rule or something? With how many of you just brought cats to the clan. Heck, even cats who weren't part of our clan at first brought us some more mouths to feed.
"One of them is by not entering camp. To walk in our home unannounced is rude. If one of the warriors decided to attack you, I wouldn't reprimand them. Right now they wouldn't because I am speaking to you. We are serious when it comes to our home."
His long black tipped tail flicks behind him.
"Seeing as you're already here, I will allow you to join our clan. Only if you accept punishment first. You have scared and angered a good bulk of riverclanners by waltzing into camp."
Whatever expression Captain is giving him is met with a smile.

The word punishment is sure to surprise his clanmates. After all, it was extremely rare for Pikestar to punish someone. What would he even decide was fitting for someone who still hadn't decided? And what would happen if Captain said no? Would he be attacked by some riverclanners? Or would he be granted mercy, chased off of their home and back to the Campgrounds? None would know until Captain made his choice.

A youngster approaches the old seadog, who's whiskers twitch in amusement looking at him. He had clearly seen some sort of battle, numerous scars darting across his face and neck. He calls himself a leader, something that Captain almost finds amusing considering the youngsters he met talking about their freedom. Still, he supposed, much like a ship --- there had to be a captain around here or things would turn to utter chaos.

He dips his head in respect, unfamiliar with the customs of the clans. He had just followed some of the cats that left the campground, he was unaware it would be such an intrusion to the place they called home. "Me apologies, cap'n." He meows, sincerity on the old sailor's lips. "I didn' realize dis was yer home, I merely followed some o' yer clowder back from the campground." It was interesting that they had a claim to this land, though he supposed there may be other groups of cats about. It was important to lay your claim, as you would to a treasure. The older tom takes a seat in front of the leader, watching as the gaggle of cats around them seem to be growing. Hushed chatter from all corners, followed by gasps and shocked glances when the leader mentions a punishment.

Captain's maw turns to a smirk, looking at the leader. "As the cap'n o' dis ship," He gestures to the camp, the numerous cats gathered around watching the spectacle he had accidentally created. The eyes of apprentices looking his way, the curious gazes of kits peeking out from the nursery. "Be ye goin' t' make me walk the plank? Sleep wit' the fishes? Visit Davey Jones?" He finds far too much amusement in the idea of whatever punishment this landlubber could come up with, still, he supposed he broke some unspoken rule by coming here. The youngster brought up a good point too, by his lucky stars he was blessed he had not been attacked. Not for his sake of course, for the youngster he would have to put in their place if they raised his paw towards him.

"Whatever punishment ye 'ave fer me, I'll accept me licks." Captain purrs out, dipping his head in respect to the leader once again.
