[ThunderClan]

ThunderClan is a clan born from much trial and tribulation, the first to lose a leader, before he could even claim his lives, but the first to throw themselves wholeheartedly into building themselves up as a clan proper under the guidance of StarClan. Despite the hardships they remain close-knit and welcoming, prioritizing the care of one another and those in need as the Colony they formed from once did.

Listed below are the former High Positions of ThunderClan, in each subsequent post will be a leader's entire term with each month in an accordion tab and a brief summary of them as a character and their notable accomplishments/plots etc in the main portion of the post. This list is in order with the most recent/current leader being the last post listed.

Juniperstar's reign is highlighted by compromise and flexibility, serving as a vessel for Fray's teachings of harmony and compassion and Thornstar's penchant for sacrifice and empathy. It remains to be seen if her good will can be pushed too far- will it be a detriment to ThunderClan or will it's diplomatic strength serve them well?

THUNDERCLAN JANUARY '25 ANNOUNCEMENTS

JUNIPERSTAR

ThunderClan finds its footing still as a new clan, learning where to place borders, organize patrols and support one another. With this comes the revelation that a leader and medicine cat alone cannot carry the weight of the entire clan on their back and more are handed responsibility in hopes of strengthening their foundations after a youthful adventure takes an unfortunate turn.

​	We have not yet learned to meet in peace under the light of the full moon . . .

No formal meeting is held this moon. . . All business is handled in passing conversation or in groups.
Patrols to establish loose borders are sent out by Juniperstar.
Serpentberry sends out patrols tasked in herb collection and discovery.
Learning the ropes of his new role, Brightpetal sounds out his first set of hunting patrols!

Brightpetal is chosen as the next ThunderClan deputy!

Palefern gives birth to two kits; Heartkit and Hopekit!
Juniperstar gives birth to four kits; Magpiekit, Dreamkit, Asterkit, and Littlekit.

Juniperstar's kit, Littlekit, does not survive being born outside of camp and joins StarClan.

A large group of ShadowClan cats wanders closer to ThunderClan's territory and a fight breaks out over where the borders should be. . .

THUNDERCLAN DECEMBER '24 ANNOUNCEMENTS

"I beg for your patience... I beg for your loyalty... "

Hawthorne and his deputy, Juniper, head for Highstones per Coffeestar's directions but are ambushed by Sable and two of his followers- they murder Hawthorne before he can complete his pilgrimage. This leaves Juniper to flee the last stretch and upon touching the Moonstone , she is granted her nine lives by some of those who died during the battle earlier that night as well as Hawthorne, who has undertaken the mantle Thornstar as he should've been known had he made the journey there alive. She is named Juniperstar and given directions for how to mold newly born ThunderClan. The sun rises and Juniperstar returns alone, telling the clan of Thornstar's loss - it goes unsaid who his murderers are but it seems commonly understood that Sable is the culprit... a group of volunteers hurries out to recover his body. Juniperstar is left to tell Serpent the news of her lover's loss and after naming Thistlekit in his honor, departs. Thornstar fulfills his promise and rushes to visit his widow, naming her Serpentberry, ThunderClan's first medicine cat.

It is a busy and grief-filled day that sees the clan introduced to their new structure- Juniperstar holds the clan's first meeting , naming a small group before growing tired and promising to return. Over the course of the next few days she continues to dole out new names until at long last everyone has been given an identity befitting a clan warrior.

While the two are absent, Serpent goes into labor and welcomes three kits, two named Leafkit and Rattlekit by their mother and uncle respectively and the third named Thistlekit by Juniperstar herself when she returns from the Moonstone to inform Serpent of the news.

A vigil is held to honor their short-lived leader and founder . . . a reign as short-lived and bright as the stars.

Serpentberry, unable to abandon her new kittens for very long, sends out a small group of warriors in her stead to search for herbs and in this act of exploration, forces the clan to learn some of their new landmarks!

With their new territory largely undiscovered, Juniperstar prompts those of able body to go vaguely establish some sort of borders ... anything that seems easy to defend is marked though it remains to be seen if the landscape won't reveal itself to be unrecognizable come the new-leaf thaw.
