HE/HIM
42 MOONS
WINDCLAN MOOR-RUNNER
SPEECH | THOUGHTS | SPRIGHTLY | PHYSICAL
PENNED BY PLOT
The earth was drier now, with fewer puddles of sucking mud to trip up the moor runners as they traversed the territory. Everyone had been, rightfully, focusing on rebuilding the camp, but that meant most of them hadn't gotten a proper stretch of their legs in some time.
Time for a little fun, Ripplemist thought, gathering several other moor runners and padding out to the sleeping monster's resting form.
"Alright, everyone!" he mewed loudly, letting his voice carry. "We're gonna have a little race, alright? Followed up by a relaxing soak in our destination." He motioned towards the hot springs - a good distance away for a nice race, but not so far as to exhaust WindClan's cats. "Winner gets first pick of freshkill amongst us when we get back!" His crooked grin swept over the other assembled cats.
"Now, lets all line up, nice and orderly! That's it, very good!" Ripplemist took his spot in the ranks, wriggling into a running stance.
"On your marks... get set... go!" Without another word, the moor-runner took off, racing over the grasses.

OOC:
Hello! In order to keep the race fair, I'm going to have us do a little bit of rolling!
For the first stretch of the race, everyone can roll a d10 - that determines your "place" at the halfway point [higher numbers being further ahead]. After about a week, I'll come back to the thread to start the "second wind" - at that point, everyone will roll a d20 and add it to their previous result! The character with the highest number after everyone has calculated their totals will be the winner, and then we can all enjoy a little dip in the hot springs before heading back to camp for a meal.
To make things fair but realistic, cats with grandiose and sprightly may add a 1 to their rolls, marking their above average size and speed. Feel free to be creative in determining why your character has ended up in the place they're at when you roll!
Ripplemist has rolled a 6, putting him [theoretically] in the middle of the pack!
