Hello and welcome to Purrgatory! We are an 18+ Warrior Cat Roleplay set in an AU where the clans were unable to leave the forest territories and perished!
It has been 100 or more years since then, the clans of the forest are but distant memories to any cats still alive, stories passed down to kits of strangely named wild warriors and leaders with nine lives but the time of the clans is upon us once more and the stars shine yet again.
It had been a long time since the three of them just had a moment to be away from it all, the marshland was excellent for privacy if you knew where to go and the oversized willow she sat beneath formed a near perfect curtain around the trio; shrouding them from view and offering welcome shade in addition. It was getting warmer, the sun burning brighter overhead and a small part of her relished in it as she once felt she may not live to make it to Greenleaf - back in the colony the future had been bleak and unforgiving, she often wondered if she should have listened to Smogmaw's suggestion to leave but an odd part of her disliked the idea of upending her and her family's life again after finally settling in a place they could make their own. When her, Hollow and Blue had arrived at Fourtrees and were welcomed in, it was the closest to feeling safe that she'd felt in so long and even as that safety faltered she was hesitant to let go. The colony gave her so much, a loving mate, a kit of her own to adore and protect and even friends...former friends. Halfshade thinks briefly again of Shasta, ears flat as she recalled the other molly's blood staining her teeth. She remembers Straw, jovial and kind and despite his cowardice bravely dying to save his friends. The tortie blinks back the memories, shakes her head and lets her long pelt whip about her face before laughing suddenly, "Isn't this nice? We hardly talk much anymore, busy busy bees with this new clan. Tell me, how are you two doing? And WHEN am I going to be an auntie? Come now." At least one of them had to have inherited some charisma, when was she going to get little nieces and nephews to coo and fawn over?
It was a welcome reprieve from the hustle and bustle of camp, despite its demeanor it found that it surprisingly enjoyed clan life overall- but even then Hollowmist still preferred the company of its siblings over most others. It had no idea such a place was here in the pocosin. The late newleaf warmth and good company left them relaxed and slightly dozing, curled up with their back pressed against Bluegale with eyes half closed.
A lazy yawn is dragged out of them at Halfshade's words, stretching against it's brother before resting it's head on the tom's back to look to the other. "Sleepy mostly," It finds itself joking with a small laugh of it's own. "But I'm much better now that I'm free of the med den. I swear Cicada has no bedside manner when bug's annoyed."
The medicine cat was not generally outwardly emotional, so to most bug often seemed aloof and distant. Off-putting. Hollowmist liked to think it was at least somewhat similar so they could see the little tells that were otherwise so often missed by others.
An acknowledging flick of an ear was given to Halfshade's question, contemplative. Kits or a mate were something it had never considered for itself. When its sister had announced her pregnancy all those moons ago Hollow had been ecstatic for her, more than happy to fill the role of doting aunt...uncle...auncle alongside Blue. As far as it was aware its brother had also never had any romantic inclinations towards anyone.
"...I'm afraid you got all the charisma, sister. And-" It rolls over and off of Bluegale, giving an overdramatic sigh as a pale paw is raised to its scarred cheek as if feeling faint. "Now you have all the looks too, couldn't you save some for your poor siblings? ...What about you, Blue? Anyone you have your eye on~?"
Besides, it was much happier not worrying about all of that- finding a mate and starting a family. If it happened, it would in due time.
