The gentle sound of her pawsteps were barely heard as she padded into the medicine den, the river's lull outside provided a calm that felt rare at this moment. Wavesong nosed her way in carefully, tail tucked low and movements quiet, she didn't want to startle Jinglemoon if he was resting. But when her ocean gaze landed on the tom, her expression softened. He looked tired. Not just physically, but soul-deep, like the weight of everything had finally pressed him into the earth.

" Ahoy... " she murmured gently, a familiar warmth in her voice despite the somber air. Between her teeth, she carried a small flower... It was one with soft, pale pink petals with a dew-kissed sheen. Something gentle. Something kind. Something he deserved. She padded closer, sitting down beside her dear friend and gave him a warm, if weary, smile. " This one made me think of ye. " she said, and without waiting for protest, she leaned forward and gently tucked it behind his ear, letting it settle in the soft fur just so. " There. Tha's better. "

For a heartbeat, she didn't speak, she just allowed the quiet to sit between them. But eventually, her gaze turned downward, her shoulders slack. " I wanted t'tell ye... that none o' this was yer fault, Jinglebells... " she said softly, eyes flickering up to meet his. " Y'did what ye could... Wha' happened... it wasn't weakness. It was betrayal from another clan. One we didn' even know yet. And no one can prepare fer that."

Her ears flicked back slightly, and a bit of guilt crept into her tone, because she had heard the aftermath of that council meeting... And it had been bad. " An' I'm sorry. Fer how Adder responded at th' council. He's always been... spirited, aye, but that was somethin' else, I heard. I don't agree with how he handled it, not one bit. That wasn't.... That's not how ye should do things. That was emotion, uncontrolled. I told him as much. " She reached out, brushing her tail lightly across Jinglemoon's back in a gesture of affection, of steady support. " ShadowClan has put a number on'm... He's unravelin', and it's... it's not fair t'force that weight on ye. "
Wavesong exhaled through her nose, steadying her heart. " But ye still got me, love. If ye ever need anythin', even jus' someone t'talk to, someone t'sit beside ye while th'world spins too fast... I'm here. Always. " Her voice grew quieter, sincere. " Yer not alone, and I won't let ye believe ye are. " Then, a small grin tugged at her maw, soft and reassuring. " An' I'll be out there every day I can be, waddlin' 'bout like a bloated seal if I have ta, findin' herbs for this den. We'll fill yer shelves back up, one leaf at a time. " she promised the tom aside her, then leaned in and bumped her head lightly to his, just beneath the tucked flower. " Yer strong, Jinglemoon. Strong in th' way that matters. " And with that, she sat beside him, not as a warrior, not as a queen, just as a friend.
