Welcome to the deputy tryout thread! A couple reminders going into this: This is posted as an actual tryout! This means that this post will only be opened when a deputy is being looked for! However, you're by all means welcome to leave your post up if you may be interested in the future/may have room for it. You will always be asked before being given the position if you are interested still/ready for the spot! Goldenstar may be thinking about this for quite some time...

EXPECTATIONS

OOC, I (Laevatein here personally) will be looking for individuals I believe fit the bill. Helpful in the discord, generally gets along with most, etc etc. Part of this position is helping me with more in-depth duties and quite literally covering the gaps I may leave. You will be working closely with me in terms of OOC and IC things!
That being said- fun, short term plots are 100% allowed. I want to give an interesting timeline to Goldenstar's tenure as leader, and you may just be able to help me with that! Tell me your ideas.
IC, Goldenstar is likely going to pick someone he trusts inherently. Someone he knows will work as his right paw, just as he was for Dustystar.
A lot of this is up to chance, fate, and a couple of key details OOC of course. This all being said, there is never any harm in trying even if you feel you aren't 100% fitting these expectations! We (the council) may see it otherwise. :]
These tryouts are expected to close at the end of January / beginning of February.​

Are there any plots in mind? Tell me about them!: Ripplemist is currently focused deeply on the situation with SkyClan, trying to vocalize more of his wish to approach the situation in a different way. He currently has a connection to SkyClan's Maplemouse and would be eager to help mend relations there. Ripplemist also enjoys teaching younger cats and would want to be involved with mentors and their apprentices in some more "group activity" ways, similar to the race he ran a few months back
Notes, other, etc: Ripple has a crush on Goldy, which could be reciprocated or not, just a fun detail to add there; he's a generally lighthearted and goofy guy, and I think he could provide a lot of levity to the Clan after their past few months of struggle and despair

Are there any plots in mind? Tell me about them!: Not much of a plot, but I do think Goldy and her would have a dynamic similar to Dusty & Goldy! She's someone who is willing to show her claws on certain issues and believes that sometimes there are necessary fights to be taken

Nutmegpurr cares deeply for her Clan & would be very on board with most things that she would think would be in a betterment of it. I think she'd push for more formal warrior assessments (structured and shadowed by the deputy, leader or a guard) for apprentices to ensure that their apprentices are learning and growing properly, she cares a lot for her apprentice (and her former apprentice who has since graduated)

I do have a singular plot in mind that confronts her loyalty to her clan and her family / friends (something she struggles with figuring out which goes over which) and i think it'd be interesting to explore as a deputy (and something that could also be plotted out with the rest of the team!)
