It began with a spark and ended in a blaze, the cats of the barn sent scattered to the winds as they escaped the inferno that consumed their former barn home. Left lost beneath the stars, they were guided to their new territory and at last the clans of old once more walked the forest territory with WindClan being the last...

Listed below are the former High Positions of WindClan, in each subsequent post will be a leader's entire term with each month in an accordion tab and a brief summary of them as a character and their notable accomplishments/plots etc in the main portion of the post. Dustystar attempts to be very thorough and meticulous in her leadership, considering every outcome to decide the best way forward. In reality, her judgement is sometimes clouded by emotion and inexperience. She cares deeply for every member of the clan, believing that even cats she personally dislikes have their part to play. Despite this, she's lacking in social awareness and charisma, and relies on her high positions to make up for this.

WINDCLAN MARCH '25 ANNOUNCEMENTS

DUSTY

"Last night I received a message from our ancestors. Starclan, a group of cats that has since left this world behind, contacted me, to give you all a very important message. The land we now inhabit was once the territory of a powerful group of cats, known as Windclan. They have chosen us to be their successors --- And they have chosen me to be your leader. I'll do my best to lead you forward and keep you safe."

The Horseplace, home to cats who reside within the twoleg structure of the barn, was an idealistic and peaceful homestead that welcomed in cats from all walks of life. Life was calm, until one late night an argument among two brothers, Petal and Peony, lead to Peony knocking over a gasoline lantern and setting the barn ablaze. The cry of alarm went out initially from Buck and the barncats all scrambled to escape, helping one another and searching for their family and friends in the chaos. Several cats are injured and few don't make it out...

Alder perished in the fire.
Chicken perished in the fire.
Hoot perished in the fire.

The barn cats escape the fire, running out into the moorlands in the distance where the stop for the night.
Owl gives birth out in the open fields to three kittens in the aftermath of the fire and loss of her father Hoot and names one after him, the other two named Goose and Finch.

Dusty recieves a dream in the aftermath of the fire from StarClan choosing her as the future leader of WindClan, they say they will choose a medicine cat as well who will approach Dusty one selected.
Glade also has a dream visitor from a kitten named Littlekit, choosing her as the medicine cat StarClan promised.

Dusty calls together the barncats for a meeting to inform them of being chosen by the stars and their wish for WindClan to once again grow as tall as the grasses of the prairie. There are mixed feelings regarding this...
