Eden believes in the spirit of goodness as a power stronger than any else. For all their efforts to be a beacon of cheer and goodwill, they struggle to truly find their mark in the world and fail to be anything remarkable at all... perfectly average and sometimes even less than that. They strive to make up for their skill by being someone trustworthy and gentle, seeking to be remembered as a brilliant light in a dark place. But no good deed goes unpunished, and for every act of goodwill they commit to, they find punishment in equal measure around every corner. They are selfish in ways they are blind to, eager to soothe their sore feelings however they see fit. They are rash despite their preach for patience. They justify their lack of thoughtful judgement with the stupidity of youth, of emotion, of fate and do little to take any accountability for their actions, often thrusting others into the muck of their mistakes with them even if not intentionally.
Compassion drives Eden to choose kindness, gentleness and empathy whenever they can... They don't believe that violence can be justified, that war needs be the first step, instead they believe that conversation and the recognition of shared mortality ought to be enough to inspire long-lasting peace. They are naive in their idealistic hoping and extend friendship to any that will not snap at their extended paws; even then, a second chance may be offered when it shouldn't, desperate to prove that anyone can be fixed given enough love, given enough understanding. They're dedicated to the things that earn their affection, finding loyalty in individuals rather than ideas... It can make concepts harder to find devotion in... Ideas are not given faith without physical proof. Ultimately, this affection for life and the living makes suggestions like StarClan hard to rationalize and subscribe to.
Perhaps because of their deep roots that drink deep from connection, they flounder when left feeling lonely or isolated... lacking a tether to their worth, which they measure in the affection and attention of others, they lose their way easily. Their morality wavers and they are far more likely to grow distraught, unpredictable, and messy. They're more likely to be swayed towards poor decisions in favor of gaining short-term comfort and validation, a manipulation of their indecisive nature that works out in favor of those that have earned their favor and trust. However, this means that those that they cherish can cut twice as deeply, perceiving any threat to a relationship as final, destructive and complete. Relationships scorched are often no longer considered salvageable, consigning themself to the loss as if it is a genuine and physical death to the bond.
While crowing themself a pacifist, Eden is largely a coward... they fear pain, fear the sight of blood after seeing so much of it, and fear death most of all. They are resistant to conflict and even more concerned with their own survival, unwilling to take risks for others outside of a small, selective group. They selfishly prioritize their own feelings over others when feeling less than their best and don't really consider how their choices impact others. Their cowardice goes hand in hand with their self-interest... and when confronted with so much adversity that doesn't kill them, they are prone to spiral towards withdrawing entirely. Their instinct is to flee their troubles, to run away from the hurt and never address it. This can make it hard to make amends with Eden or pry accountability out of them; they like to think they know what they did wrong and repeating it is just a punishment meant to satisfy those outside of the situation. -

a predominantly white cat with a black stripe racing from their forehead down to their tail, black, rose-like dots on the back of their ears and above their eyes, and a trail of leaflet like markings under their eyes down to their cheeks they have large, green eyes, often weighted by eyebags, as well as large ears and a bobbed tail.
once just a pile of legs and overgrown ears, Eden has grown into their figure as a fairly compact and robust adult. their ears never seemed to get the memo, over-large and bat-like at some angles. they sport the muscles physique of someone who is constant climbing as they traverse the fences that dot the Twolegplace houses and adventure to meet a loved one near the former barn. it gives them an illusion of physical power, that they might throw a good punch if needed but it's never been proven to be the case. they are generally soft-furred though a little tangled at times, and their pelt is short just like their tail; a happy accident from birth.
