"Thank you - really, I owe you my next haul of minnows...!"
Lavenderpaw speaks quickly, as if this is a circumstance she can simply unwind herself from. Her aunt does well to walk her the rest of the way to the apprentice's den, but the blue-furred molly takes notice how she lingers and doesn't let that be the end of it. She grimaces, and almost rebuff's the other's earned curiosity with a childish, "It's none of your business." However, instead, the young molly heaves in a chest full of air. It's not like it's wrong. Maybe sometimes RiverClan and ThunderClan may fight, but having friends (and possibly more?) across the border may serve them well. It serves her well, at least.
To Asterpaw, she isn't the deputy's apprentice, or Juncopaw's sharper tongued sister. She's just... Lavenderpaw. And it's refreshing to be seen so simply.
"I was seeing someone, Willowburn," she says, quietly, as if to invite her aunt into a conspiracy. "I met a really nice apprentice, and..." it's far too soon to use such permanent language, but she can't help it as his image flickers to her mind. Her jaw tenses and her tail curls around her torso. Lavenderpaw shakes her head. Instead, she murmurs, "Do you think I'm being... stupid?"
