Cricketpaw was really small for an apprentice, but again any apprentice looked kinda small next to him... Plus, that Fleapaw cat he met was super tiny, and she was an apprentice too! He wasn't going to question her, though, instead beaming as his eyes glittered.
"Really?" His face crinkling with a smile as he stared at her curiously.
"That'ths stho cool you get to go on sthecret mitthionths!" His pointed tail batted against he ground as he sat staring down at the tiny Windclan apprentice.
He had to giggle a little at the other's retort about eating cats, feeling a little reassured to hear there were no kitty cannibals in the forest.
"You don't look like you'd eat catsth. But I don't think biting caths at all sthoundths like a good idea..." Boarpaw cringed, but then again, his teeth made his bite a little more dangerous, so maybe other cats could do that without really,
really hurting someone? They would rather talk it out before hurting someone, though, that's what
his Mama always said.
Though, he got a little flustered at Cricketpaw's sudden question, tucking his paws closer to him, feeling a little embarrassed. But he gave her a watery smile as she scrambled to correct her wording.
"N-no I'm not a badger I'm just... Different." He shrugged, holding out his paw to Cricketpaw to show her his pawpads. Most cats only had four smaller pads on each toe, but just at a glance, with two extra toes on that paw alone made it all the more obvious he was even more peculiarly shaped than it first seemed.
"I just got a few extra toeths, and uhm.. Claws." He flexed his paw, the extra toes with smaller claws, but they were still very clearly there. He was quick to sheath his claws, settling the paw down again, looking sheepish.
"I wouldn't wanna sthquish a foxth I don't think, not unleths it waths hurting my friendths." He hummed, absently. Boarpaw knew he would have to learn to fight, but it made him nauseous at the idea of hurting other cats or even animals that were doing nothing but minding their own business.
But a smile broke across his face again; he would always love his name, for good reason, too.
"Thank you, Junipersthar let me keep my name, Boar, my Mama gave it to me." He purred, though there was an air of sorrow to his voice. He missed his mama, but Cricketpaw didn't need to deal with that.
"Your nameths cool too! I bet you're gonna get a sthuper cool warrior name too."
The tom hummed, looking around. There were plenty of flowers around, and Cricketpaw didn't really need help with those. But he recalled something shiny glittering on his way here.
"One sthecond!" He grinned, standing up and quickly skittering off a little towards the Thunderpath. With larger legs and paws meant it didn't take him long to reach there, before his eyes settled on the shiny. Batting at it, he wasn't so sure what it was meant to be, a shiny, hollow cylinder. But it was okay, he was sure Cricketpaw would like it regardless. Held delicately between tusked jaws, Boarpaw trotted back to his new friend, eyes glittering with excitement. He had some lovely friends in Thunderclan, but making a new friend in a different clan was so wonderful! He hoped she liked the shiny... Whatever it was.
Quickly, he returned to the small calico, placing the treasure in front of her.
"I waths gonna take it home, but you can have it insthtead!" Boarpaw purred, tail dusting the ground as he beamed to Cricketpaw.
"I promisthe I won't tell no one you were here either! Sthecret apprentice code." He placed a paw on his fluffy chest, over his heart, like how he would always make promises to his mama. He took pride in maintaining his promises, after all.
