Hello and welcome to Purrgatory! We are an 18+ Warrior Cat Roleplay set in an AU where the clans were unable to leave the forest territories and perished! It has been 100 or more years since then, the clans of the forest are but distant memories to any cats still alive, stories passed down to kits of strangely named wild warriors and leaders with nine lives but the time of the clans is upon us once more and the stars shine yet again.

unfrotunately lost her mate to the sea during a fishing accident, only further empowering her sense of familial ties and an understanding to not take what you have for granted.

is the adopted daughter of Thornstar (ThunderClan's first leader) and Serpentberry (ThunderClan's first medicine cat).
developed an interest in medicine after injuring her leg when falling from a tree and a disinclination of violence born from the civil war.
medicine cat's are not yet under a code to not take mates, but if rowanpaw ever did it would be another cute girl!
is named after the rowan tree - which often represents a symbol of protection against evil spirits; an accidental but fun reference to her StarClan beliefs.

She wants to learn, badly, wants to be helpful. Wants Serpentberry to have more time with her kits, to not have to spend so much time tending to cats that weren't them. But what she wants most of all is, perhaps, for Serpentberry to trust her. To depend on her. Believe in her, like she had when she'd encouraged her to hunt from the treetops.

Grief still clung to the pelts of the cats surrounding them, but grief is like that, in the beginning --- Rowan is no stranger to grief– it's a familiar companion --- She is not sure how she will recover, but when she looks at Serpentberry and Leafkit, she knows she will; that she must. This is part of grief too. It gets smaller, it stops clinging to you, and eventually you'll only feel it rear it's sharp toothed mouth every once in a while, like a kit pleading for it's mother.

To heal and treat, to save…" she looks down at her paw, which had betrayed her in the fight against the badger, which was still aching dully despite what she had told Serpentberry earlier. "Let me help you, mother… Let me learn from you."

Scarlet has been a super big support to me and a good friend. I've had a really great time playing with them in both Shadow and Wind as it's formed. Flea and Meadow are such fun characters to read and Scarlet is such a fun person to talk to :)

"Bugs are small too, but they eat us when we die and clean up all the bits left. It's important. There's importance in the little things." He glances down at his paws, lifts one to regard it as if seeing something before placing it back down in the same place, his print and pad aligning neatly. Magpiekit's purple eyes drift away from the noise, wandering back to the marshland beyond the camp where he tilts his head and regards the distance before deciding against it. Not today. Maybe he would play later.

Violet hues narrow as he takes it in, remembering distinctly a lesson whispered of warning from a patchwork maw, Don't eat the red berries. They are poisonous. [....] Serpentberry hadn't said anything about touching them otherwise so he dips his head and neatly picks it up between his teeth with all the gentleness of mother lifting her kit, teeth not piercing the smooth skin as he toddles forward to drop it back near the medicine cat in silence.
