Hello and welcome to Purrgatory! We are an 18+ Warrior Cat Roleplay set in an AU where the clans were unable to leave the forest territories and perished! It has been 100 or more years since then, the clans of the forest are but distant memories to any cats still alive, stories passed down to kits of strangely named wild warriors and leaders with nine lives but the time of the clans is upon us once more and the stars shine yet again.

is the adopted daughter of Thornstar (ThunderClan's first leader) and Serpentberry (ThunderClan's first medicine cat).
developed an interest in medicine after injuring her leg when falling from a tree and a disinclination of violence born from the civil war.
medicine cat's are not yet under a code to not take mates, but if rowanpaw ever did it would be another cute girl!

is named after the rowan tree - which often represents a symbol of protection against evil spirits; an accidental but fun reference to her StarClan beliefs.

But what she wants most of all is, perhaps, for Serpentberry to trust her. To depend on her. Believe in her, like she had when she'd encouraged her to hunt from the treetops.

Grief still clung to the pelts of the cats surrounding them, but grief is like that, in the beginning --- Rowan is no stranger to grief– it's a familiar companion --- She is not sure how she will recover, but when she looks at Serpentberry and Leafkit, she knows she will; that she must. This is part of grief too. It gets smaller, it stops clinging to you, and eventually you'll only feel it rear it's sharp toothed mouth every once in a while, like a kit pleading for it's mother.

"I'd like that," Rowanpaw meows, unable to hide the shake in her voice. "I don't… I don't want to fight. I don't want to see anymore violence, I want… I want to help, to be like you. To heal and treat, to save…" she looks down at her paw, which had betrayed her in the fight against the badger, which was still aching dully despite what she had told Serpentberry earlier. "Let me help you, mother… Let me learn from you."

Magpiekit's purple eyes drift away from the noise, wandering back to the marshland beyond the camp where he tilts his head and regards the distance before deciding against it. Not today. Maybe he would play later.

I do not need to see you use your teeth and claws to know you would fight to protect what is yours, and your Clan is thankful for your loyalties... To honor your the strength in your persistence, your name will be Timberfrost." Nothing about the tom said he was a cold individual, but frost was the first to appear as the seasons changed. Just the same, Timber had appeared as they welcomed their new sanctuary.

With perhaps the most tired grit to his voice possible, the tom spoke. "Oh, 'm bein' mauled-" He observed blearily, wincing as the furious kitten kicked at his arm in a hellbent rage. "Tha's not very nice, dear." Timber mumbled, exhaustion clear on his face as he held his leg up higher, going for the scruff of the young kitten. She was older, yes, but thankfully she was on the smaller side. It still didn't make it any more comfortable as he pulled at her scruff, peeling her off of him with some difficulty (and several clumps of pale fur, decorating her like awful trophies of the battle she had just fought). "Why in the worl' are you doin' this, anyway?"

"Perhaps it worked out for the best in the end. Nothing will ever change what has been lost of course, but..." The tom smiled gently, eyes crinkling as he looked at the other. "This clan was formed on a basis of needing one another, and I'm glad that I—and my daughter—can be a part of something like that again. Means a lot that us leaving was the right choice."

He almost took pride in it, their identity as self-sufficient lone wolves. If Sablestar was changing that now, though, he must have a good reason. Mothbite will try and trust him.
