A Baker's Dozen; Gingerbread family adopts

Seen about the neighbourhood of the twoleg place, Gingerbread is a rather suave and jovial face. While he was initially sharp towards Skyclan cats, after a short courtship with a Skyclan warrior and learning from Fizzystar about the newfound alliance between Skyclan and Warriorclan, he found himself willing to open up more to the idea of these clan cats.

In the meantime, unbeknownst to any other cats, the tom had a brief fling in the past with a pretty molly down the lane, Cherry. Only for him to learn recently she had a litter of kittens and now had been demanded to take responsibility for them too. This isn't the first time it happened. About 14 moons ago, the exact thing happened, and his older children are adults all their own.

Now a father all over again, Gingerbread is trying to show the budding young cats how to grapple with life as an outdoor cat and, after a run-in with some patrolling Skyclan cats, tentatively give them the option to train as Daylight apprentices under the guidance of Hawkstar's warriors.

As Gingerbread watches his children thrive, either in the cushy lives of kittypets or the rough and tumble of daylighters, he wonders how his kin are. His own parents are long gone, but his lone sibling across the gorge in Windclan is still kicking. For a tom with such a reputation, he longs for a quiet life with family, but everything seems to upend his plans one way or another.

RULES & REQUIREMENTS Please verify names are not taken on the PREFIX CLAIM prior to committing to an app! You should reserve the name you pick just in case until kits are chosen! This litter is not first come first serve! I haven't decided on a date of selection but I will comment as much when there is! I don't expect extensive activity with these guys but also give me a heads up if you intend to drop them, so we can figure that out. The older litter is ~20 moons. The younger litter will be 5 moons to facilitate any desired plots. These cats do not need to remain kittypets! It is up to you if they take up Warriorclan life, decide to join Skyclan as a Daylight apprentice or just enjoy the cushy kittypet life. As long as you have the name, appearance, personality and note of which litter/slot, they will be considered! You can use your own designs or hypokit designs, it is preferred if they generally fit the sweet treat (confectionery/ fruits) theming :3 RELATIONS Kits are Generation 1. Each respective kitten litter have a mother who is present in their lives, but are both NPCs unless there is interest to play them! Pomelo is the daughter of Gingerbread and Strudel. While she stayed in Warriorclan for most of her life, the recent alliance with Skyclan and Hawkstar made her shift her ideals into being a daylight warrior. (Will be given her daylight warrior suffix IC if accepted).

✧ Pomelo is a long-haired average sized molly with striking ginger fur for which she was named after. Her pelt consists of intricate darker ginger markings, alongside light cream coloured ear tufts, paws, belly, and chin. She is a very noticeable molly in a crowd, and her twoleg owners have always ensured that her pelt is soft and well-groomed. She even has strikingly white shiny teeth, as her young twoleg often takes the time to brush them. Outside of her pelt, her most noticable feature is her small stubbed tail. Fluffy and bushy, but still shorter than one would expect. Her eyes are a light blue, and she is almost always seen with the belled collar that her twolegs gave her.

A jock from birth, Pomelo has always seemed to have been built to run and tussle. She would bound around her twoleg home, excitable and bouncy, always showing off to her sibling and mother and pining for their attention. She has always felt the need to show off, even if the thing she is showing off is perceived small by others. She is shockingly self-reliant despite this, not wanting to ask others for help and only truly relying on herself for her needs. Even when she first met her father, Gingerbread, she seemed almost afraid to ask for any sort of assistance. In truth, she is a bit self-centred and is really the only cat in her universe to herself at most times.

From a young age she showed promise in being some sort of warrior, starting as a Warriorclan tussler and eventually finding her way into Hawkstar's clan as a daylight warrior. She has the spirit for adventure, and even as a Warriorclanner would often go out of her way to explore the twoleg neighbourhoods and the "territory" that warriorclan considered to belong to them. She is confident and graceful in her approaches to her athleticism, and it is often viewed as her greatest strength. However, she is aware of this and it is often the area of her boasting and cockiness, much to the dismay of others.

One thing Pomelo prides herself on is her originality. She knows who she is, and she's not afraid to show it. She's never been afraid of embracing herself. Her confidence is riveting and infectious, and she can even inspire it in others when she needs to.

Despite being a tussler and now a daylight warrior, she can be a touch unreliable. She is often marching to the beat of her own drum, with little interest or care about what her leader may want. I picture her getting punished for this in Skyclan, as she would often shrik her duties to do what she wanted. How others view this would be up to them.

✧ Pomelo was born in her mother's twoleg home, nestled close to Strudel's body beside her only littermate and sibling. There was no father in sight as her mother licked her orange fur and a twoleg brought soft covers and food, they could often assist her mother, sometimes giving her and her sibling milk from these odd small clear objects. It wasn't quite the same as mother's, but it was delicious all the same.

She remained with her mother and her mother's twolegs for quite some time, though when she turned six moons she began having other twolegs come to look at her and pick her up before doing the same to her sister. During this time, her mother also took them on a walk throughout twoleg place and took them to a tom, Gingerbread. Pomelo would come to learn that this tom was her father, and while it was confusing to just meet him now, she was quick to desire a relationship with the tom.

A few weeks later, she was taken to a new twoleg residence. This one had a few smaller twolegs that often carried her like a baby, but she was happy and well-fed --- and that's all she could really ask for. Her twolegs let her explore freely, just slapping a belled collar on her for an added safety net. She started meeting up with Fizzystar and Warriorclan, spending time with her father who taught her the ropes of being a warriorclanner. She loved this life, the freedom, the thrill. When the sun began to set they would all return to their twoleg nests to meet again the next day.

As she grew into a young warrior, she remained close to her father, mother, and siblings. Eventually, a cat named Hawkstar came for a visit and mentioned the possibility of some cats assisting "Skyclan". A few were curious, including Pomelo, who decided to go check it out. (IC play begins)

PERSONALITY: Cocoa is very quiet, often appearing gruff or intimidating, but he's actually a big softie - something that is very evident once you speak to him. He enjoys kittypet life and living amongst his kin in the twolegplace, but the idea of joining a Clan excites him… being out in the open air of the forest, his instincts guiding him to hunt and fight rather than everything being handed to him, it feels honorable and would help him learn to protect his loved ones too. When he learns of SkyClan's daylight warrior position, he is eager to seek them out to begin learning their way of life. But as he slowly learns and grows, he finds himself a bit torn between the safety and warmth of his twoleg home and his desire to live amongst his friends within SkyClan, and by the time he is ready to be a warrior, he may well have to choose to leave one or the other behind…
