{$title} takes place a few days after the border fight

QUAILSTEP
In the days that followed the battle with ThunderClan, Quailstep had tactfully avoided any interaction with Hawkstar. Not that she was commonly seen padding around after their leader - as she knew how to keep her feelings close to her chest - but there were simply... other things to do besides consider the complex political relationships at play.
And besides, as a warrior she had no right to ask about these sorts of things. But she still would watch Hawkstar each day, and realize that little tangle of affection and admiration in her heart was only growing stronger. They hadn't lost anyone to the most recent battle, but the tension was still there in all the wounded faces of her Clanmates. Perhaps...
They padded up to Hawkstar, dipping her head in recognition and deference. Quailstep may not be the most skilled warrior of the Clan, but she could at least try to help in her own way.
"Hawkstar?" she mewed. "I was wondering if you might want to go on a quick hunt with me."
