I'm a young soul in this very strange world
Hoping I could learn a bit 'bout what is true and fake
But why all this hate? Try to communicate
Finding trust and love is not always easy to make

Weaselchirp's whiskers trembled as she danced lightly on the spot, a thoughtful expression softening her face. So much had happened lately… Dustystar was busier than ever. Being a leader was hard work, after all! But Weaselchirp had found a tunnel, one she'd helped strengthen alongside her apprentices and friends. It was a good place, a cozy refuge for when the cold came biting. No frozen tails for any of them, she hoped. Though… the cave wasn't quite big enough yet. Not certain, really. It was still a work in progress. The large opening needed to be made smaller, and they definitely needed more exits to keep everyone safe.
Ah! There she was!
" Dustystar! " Weaselchirp called out in a sing-song voice, bounding toward the leader with her orange eyes wide and excited. Her scruffy whiskers twitched as a smile spread across her face. " I have… I have a tunnel! " she yapped eagerly. " One that leads to a larger cave system, ish… I thought it might be perfect for the colder days. Nobody wants a blanket of snow over them to sleep under, hmm? Too cold, too dangerous. And we don't have the barn anymore to keep us warm. " Her thin tail flicked once. " Do you want to see it? " she asked eagerly, eyes wide, almost boring into Dustystar. " It's close to camp. "
Weaselchirp's whiskers twitched as she paced back and forth, tail flicking with determination and her eyes turning in the direction where she knew the entrance was. " We need to make sure the walls are strong... " she muttered, squinting her eyes a bit as she thought of the cats they had in camp. " And the roof can't be too low, or the bigger cats won't fit through easily. Comfort matters... If we connect this tunnel to the others, maybe we can create a whole network of safe places. Imagine! A labyrinth under the prairies, warm and hidden, just for us! "
