A garishly colored ruby-red beetle with black spots like a starless void sat atop Manzanita's head, perhaps clinging to her fur to avoid getting thrown off by her antics. A cruel fate for the prettiest colony cat there's ever been, and might ever be! She sniffles into the ground, despair dawning as she thinks about the filthy bug's grubby little claws making waste of all her grooming efforts. Where has it been - sifting through dung and corpses, probably! Now it's got those diseases all over poor Manzanita - WOE IS SHE!
