"You looked really close with Peach."
Blaze would respond as the familiar sight of Pike as her plumed tail gives a subtle irritable twitch. Her chest twists with gnawing annoyance as she stares daggers at the tom before her before letting out a huff and glaring off to the side. What was so special about Peach anyways? It seemed as though she would have to teach her a lesson to not touch what was hers, it seems. It was common knowledge that Blaze was padding after the silver coat tom, and not only did he leave on a whim about some weird 'calling' but he didn't let her know beforehand when he was leaving. Just because Willow, Smoke, and Adder joined him that she wasn't needed anymore? What if he never returned, and she would never get to admit her feelings to him because of this journey he took? Her facial expression is sour as she glances back at Pike, and she can't bring herself to be mad at him, but she also can't bring herself to not be mad.
"You should've taken me. What if you never returned?"
Blaze hisses as her ears flatten slightly before clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth.
"I don't know what I would've done if you didn't return, pretty boy. However, it seems as though you enjoyed your little adventure with your new girlfriend."
The red tabby would murmur as her words tingled with a mixture of anger and sadness at the thought if Pike had died on the journey inland but also that he let others so close to him. Was she not special to him? They've spent moons together, and she helped him since his first day in the shipyard wreck, always by his side and teasing him throughout time. Now... it seemed like he didn't need her anymore. Her mouth feels dry at the thought as she glares at the ground with her tail lashing back and forth as part of her just wish to stay at the shipwreck with their memories without having to deal with the sight of Pike with someone else. He seemed independent enough now.

No one had warned him a pissed Blaze would be approaching him at all.
"U-u-uhm!"
Oh, I'm really in for it now. I don't know what I did wrong, but when she gets like this it never ends well. The times he had gotten her upset always winded up with him longing for her, as she purposely ignored him for awhile. It took all of his willpower not to grovel and beg for forgiveness, knowing that she would only extend the time he was left to his own devices. In short, it was never a good time when she was mad at him. Even now, he could only recoil from her piercing gaze. He was unable to meet her eyes, opting to look at a totally interesting reed in the distance.

It was times like these that he would be silent and listen to what she had to say before answering. Though, when the word pretty comes up he has to restrain himself from collapsing with a lovestruck grin. He is not doing as well as he thinks, as his lips have already curled into a smile. Unfortunately his momentary happiness is dashed.
"GIRLFRIEND?!"
Peachy? My girlfriend?!
"You're wrong! Peachy isn't my girlfriend at all! I enjoy her company, but I don't like her like that at all!"
he's so lucky that the molly in question isn't nearby listening into this conversation. It would have been an absolute nightmare to juggle an angry Blaze and Peachy at the same time. I don't think Peachy can even get angry for long, but I wouldn't want to risk it. He did enjoy her company. He saw no use in lying about it, since it was obvious. Why would he lie only for Blaze to see him smiling while talking with Peachy about shiny rocks or what flowers were the prettiest?

Admitting this may have not been the best move, but he was panicking! Here was the most beautiful molly he had ever seen, who had called him a pretty boy, fuming because he liked talking to another molly. Wait. New girlfriend. Is... Are you jealous? The cogs began to turn. With Starclan thrusting him with new responsibilities he had little time to talk to Blaze or anyone really about simple things. Heck, he barely stood in the shipyard for long before he led them all to their new home. Everything had been a whirlwind and it would continue that way it seemed. He still had lots to do like go to this high stones place to get his nine lives.

Still... It didn't change the fact that he made Blaze worry and casted her aside. He never meant to make her feel that way. She was right to be angry with him. She should have been with him. She's not looking at me anymore. He is at a loss of what to do. It was difficult knowing whether or not Blaze loved him or even saw him romantically. After all, she was always by his side and teasing him. It was only fairly recently that she called him a pretty boy, a title that made him want to become a puddle of goo from how lovely it sounded in her voice. If he were to be called pretty boy, then he would only want it uttered from Blaze's maw.

The moment they met he had a crush on her. The feelings only grew as time passed, but he never acted on them. After all, how could he have a chance with her?
"I... Should have taken you with me, you're right. I didn't mean to make you worry. I was always going to come back. For you."
Slowly he approaches her, stopping beside her. She still refuses to look at him.

It is with great hesitance that he places a silver paw atop of one of her own.
"Blaze, Do..."
Do you love me?
"I don't want Peachy as a girlfriend. There's only ever been one cat who I want to be with for a long time now. I've had a crush on her since the moment I saw her."
An attempt is made rather awkwardly to entwine their tails, considering he's never done this before and the fact that her own is still lashing wildly. A low pained grunt escapes his lips when she practically yanks his tail with her own.
"She's the prettiest molly I've ever laid eyes on. She teases me a lot. And for some reason she's stood by my side since the very beginning. I love her so much. I would be happy if she wanted to be- have a boyfriend like me. I-i love you, Blaze."

Pike is quick to stumble over his words like a flailing fish out of the water as he practically screams in confusion about her statement. He asserts that their relationship is only platonic, but what is she to make of their conversation about attractive things—almost as if he were selecting the most beautiful items for her? Her nose scrunches up slightly as she slaps a paw down angrily as she hisses out.
"If you don't like her like that, then why are you always picking rocks and flowers out with her?"
Blaze demands as her heart races as she imagines him weaving flowers in her coat as they whisper sweet nothings to each other. Her heart churns, and not even a lemon could describe how sour she felt inside. She wanted to pick flowers out with him and have only the flowers that Pike and herself picked out decorated in her plush coat, not watch him pick intimate objects out for another (or even their nest together). Oh my days, what if the rocks were to decorate their nest together where they lay under the stars? Oh, oh. The red tabby's mouth opens to say something before looking like a fish as she covers her mouth as she imagines them sharing a nest together. She bites her lip in anger as it lightly draws blood from the anger that reflects in her fiery coat as she's tempted to barge in and tear apart any nest that they may have together.

As her gaze is away from him, she can sense his approach at her side, but she doesn't want to see his face at the moment. All she can imagine is that she-cat leaning against him with her sprained paw rubbing against her Pike and being all coddled up to him. Pike does his best to appease her with his words, and she clicks her tongue in dissatisfaction.
"I am right. All I can think about is what if you didn't return to the shipyard, to..."
to me. Blaze wishes to say, but the words refuse to slip out, as she can just imagine the others going back scathed carrying the body of her beloved, or even none of them returning. She wouldn't know where to look to find him or where to start in the first place. Even if it took until her last breath, she wouldn't stop until she was reunited with the silver tabby in life and death. She feels his paw settle on hers as he starts before stopping, then continues on with a new statement. Pike is quick to dismiss Peachy, and she can feel smuggly wishes to smile at the other to show her conquest that she'd never compare to her. His next words make her ears twitch, and she wonders who else it would be. I guess we're both losers, Peachy. Blaze grimly imagines as she races through the moons in the shipwreck to consider who this' she' was.

Pike was easy to tease, and she loved to see his flustered face, especially when she got too close. Though she's also heard Willow tease him on separate occasions and even others, and she's gnawing on the inside of her cheek. Who? Who was she? His words make her heart race faster as she glances at him just at the moment when he admits his love for her. I-I love you, Blaze. Oh, oh, oh. Her face feels hot as she brushes away that thought that maybe Willow was the one she should've been cautious of this entire time. He was the one she loved, and he was the only one that he's looked at her ever since they've been together since they were younger. None else mattered in her little world as long as she had Pike at her side; even if they've never confessed, Blaze was content forever at his side with a title of 'girlfriend' or anything. As long as he was happy, it was all that mattered in the world to her.
"Oh... Pike..."
The red tabby would whisper as tears prickled at the corners of her eyes as she smiled brightly like the stars themselves at the silver tom.
"I love you too, Pike. I've loved you ever since the first days of your arrival here. You're the only one I've ever looked at, and I-I..."

Her heart is racing too fast, as she can feel like she can hear every blood cell run through her veins. She's quick to interweave her plush tail with his as she rubs her cheek against his in an attempt to settle the pounding of her heart, but she just wants to be close to him after being apart from him from his journey and anger.
"I love you. I love you. I'd want nothing more in the world than to be yours; I've always been yours."
Blaze would whisper softly as she rubbed her nose against him gently, as if just getting a gentle sniff of her beloved to know that he was safe in her arms and this wasn't some foresaken dream of hers. Her heart settles some as she's unable to hold back her pure smile as she lovingly watches Pike as she gives him a gentle peck on his cheek.
"However, you're going to have to get rid of all those rocks from Peachy and them. I'm very jealous about what's mine. I'll make us a nest as extravagant that not even the sunset can compare to, okay?"
