Fourtrees, quiet for so many moons after her last descent into the world, has come alive with the bustling of pelts and chattering muzzles. The echo of frost-bitten grounds call to her memory as she sat beside Thornstar, wondering how he must feel. The last image he had of his fathers home was blood-soaked, was he happier to see it so green and less... miserable?

Juniperstar, ThunderClan, is the first to arrive of course. Coffeestar sighed in relief to see they were not kept alone for too long with RiverClan's arrival. "Your prized fish has come around." The chocolate tabby mused, though still lacked any warmth of approval. Pikestar was coming around at the very least, even if his progress was not as steady as she would have liked. She could not help but compare him to Hawkstar who, despite her own tribulations in new territory, did not have the trials of infighting so rampant in her home.

"Do you think ShadowClan will be proper? There's so little to predict from them aside from... chaos. I hope he does not make a fool of Juniperstar." At the very least he seemed to still care for his mates wants to some degree.

// HI this is open for ALL starclanners to come and comment on the gathering and watch it go down! at the moment this post covers thunder and rivers arrival, but the timeline of the gathering can move with each post :3c

SO LET GO, YEAH LET GO, JUST GET IN

OH, IT'S SO AMAZING HERE

Leopardsoft's entire body itched, quivering with trepidation as yellow eyes bore into a gap in the trees. Where was Shadowclan? Where was her daughter? Was she still with them or..? No, no she had to be alive...

A sidelong glance is given to Coffeestar at her musing, forcing a smile to her face. "Let's hope they show up at all," She mews, soft and uncertain. "I would like to see that my daughter is alive and well with my own eyes tonight if possible."

It had been a relief that when she rose to Starclan that night that she had not been followed by tiny star-wreathed paws at her heels. But as time dragged on and Shadowclan proved to be nigh impossible to contact time and time again the relief twisted into dread and fear. Were they treating Seal well? Was she lonely? Was she adapting to this new life she'd been thrown into without herself to reassure her? Who was teaching her..?

All this and more swirled in the dark molly's head as she sat, staring with bated breath waiting for Shadowclan to arrive.

⋆˚✿˖° Though I walk in silence, my heart speaks loud in the stars above.

Willowleaf did not speak. Her gaze remained fixed on the gathering clans, worry etched into every line of her face. ThunderClan arrived first, led by a molly who had stepped into her role not long after her predecessor had been chosen. Willowleaf's heart ached for her; leadership came heavy, and so suddenly. Then came RiverClan, with its young leader still learning the weight of his position. He would grow into it, step by step, mistake by mistake. She had faith in that.

She listened quietly as Coffeestar and Leopardsoft spoke, breath catching slightly at the tenderness exchanged between them. The younger generation... Still new to StarClan's light. Still tethered to the living. One still had family in SkyClan and the other had a daughter, living and breathing, in ShadowClan.

Ah, ShadowClan… The one clan that remained distant. Unreachable. She would stake her whiskers the Dark Forest had a claw in that. And yet, even so, she had to believe her old clan would rise in time. Would find its path again. Willowleaf leaned in slightly, her voice a soft whisper meant only for Leopardsoft. " Fret not, soft heart… Her paws are nimble, and her heart is kind. I know she walks with love guiding her steps. " Her flank brushed gently against Leopardsoft's in reassurance before her eyes returned to the Gathering, the first in a long, long time. And silently, Willowleaf prayed: Let it go well. Please, let it go well.

Oh how long it had been since a gathering! Wildrose was positively buzzing with pride, the clans together again. She had been given that highest honour of bringing the news to the final clan, and ever since, all had slotted together beautifully.

The tortie tucked her paws in close as she watched with glimmering eyes, some naive hope that this would go completely smoothly. The forever new-warrior tilted her head as she looked to Coffeestar curiously, a smile slipping on their face as Riverclan joined the fray. They remembered in the past how they often ended up late, so they found pride in Pikestar for leading the cats well.

There was tension, obviously so, it was inevitable with the awkwardness of a first gathering and- She narrowed her eyes. Only two clans, and it seemed like Fourtrees was already filling up fast. "Hm… They haven't seemed to limit who was tagging along for the gathering, it seems. I do hope it doesn't get too cramped." They muttered, leaning idly on their haunches.

Though it seemed Leopardsoft and Coffeestar had worried about their own, the younger warrior purred warmly. "They will show, I'm sure of it, if they are anything like Shadowclan of the past, they are proud cats, too proud not to show their faces here." Wildrose nodded with a hum, the knowledge of the past was only so much help in soothing the newer spirits. Willowleaf, a solid presence as always, offering the same gentle sentiments, Wilrose purring in agreement.

They had to chuckle warmly at the sight of the beginning of the mingling between Riverclan and Thunderclan, there had been turmoil in both clans, mostly of their own design, but just for a moment everything was.. Okay.

Wildrose didn't hold their breath, though, ear flicking as she watched what seemed to be a whispered argument stir amidst the Riverclan leader and one of his council. They let out a shaky breath, hoping it wasn't an omen of what was to come. He knew many of these other spirits had far more personal stakes with the living - any of their own kin were in Starclan alongside them at that point - so for their sakes did he prayed nothing worse than bickering would break out in this far too large of a gathering.

FLINTBERRY OF STARCLAN

Flintberry sat in silence among the StarClan cats, still feeling like he hadn't quite found his footing in this strange, eternal place. A world beyond life, unfathomable when he'd been alive. It still felt like a dream, or the edge of one. But at least he could still see his brother. At least Copper-- no, Copperstorm was alive. So was Pan-- Dewshine. That was what mattered. They were safe. They had made it. No thanks to him. His father, still lurking like a shadow at the borders, waiting. Watching. Hoping, perhaps, to catch a glimpse of either of them… or worse.

A shudder rippled through Flintberry's body, his fur bristling as a scowl briefly crossed his face. He gave a rough shake of his coat, trying to cast off the thought. " Hmph... I don't know about ShadowClan... " he muttered, voice low. " They've been up to things that... " He didn't finish. He couldn't. Not with the knowledge that not all who had gone to ShadowClan were awful... His mind lingered, his heart ached for Needle...

Instead, he forced his eyes to drift back to the Gathering below, drawn to his brother. His heart ached at the sight. How he longed to walk among them again… To brush against Copperstorm's side. To flash that familiar grin and say: " Hey... I'm still here. Always with you. "
