The world feels quiet today, save for the steady flow of the river at Pebbledream's paws and the voice of their companion they'd brought along to help them fish. Brookstorm has been a friend of theirs - they can call them a friend, they feel confident about it - for a couple moons now, and he has proven to be very entertaining company. Chores become adventures when they are alongside him. It's fascinating, and will perhaps help distract the Life Guard from the sting of the cold water as they reach out into one of the few parts that aren't iced over to grab at a fish with extended claws.

A splash is heard when Pebbledream lunges forward, but the fish is just barely quicker. Claws brush against its scaly skin briefly before their paw slams downward into the frozen mud of the riverbank, and they curse under their breath as they pull their soaked foreleg from the water with nothing to show for it.
"Mm. Perhaps the leaf-bare chill has slowed me down... are you having any better luck, Brookstorm?" They glance up at the other warrior - a full member of RiverClan, now - hoping for good news in the form of a fish that's been pulled from the river's icy grasp. The Clan needs food, and Pebbledream is eager to grab some before the river is fully sealed away, locked behind a blanket of ice.
