It has been 100 or more years since then, the clans of the forest are but distant memories to any cats still alive, stories passed down to kits of strangely named wild warriors and leaders with nine lives but the time of the clans is upon us once more and the stars shine yet again.

hello lovelies! this is where you'll find duskpool-related connections through older litter adopts, past connections, or something to consider if wanting to be part of a pre-existing family for your character (and if so, feel free to plop a post below with whatever you had in mind and i will reach out to you through discord) ^^ most of these adopts will not be first come first serve unless stated otherwise, please wait until i've given up the thumbs up before running full steam ahead. all that i ask is that you include the basics listed out and if you go above and beyond i am gripping you affectionately. the only requirement i have is 2-3 posts a month, if possible! i know some clans are more active than others, so that will factor into the activity requirement. but i will specifity with each adopt that's posted since these are just general rules to follow!

𝖳𝖧𝖤𝖨𝖱 𝖫𝖮𝖵𝖤 𝖲𝖳𝖮𝖱𝖸It was quite silly how the two ended up together, disgustingly sweet if it wasn't for Honeycomb's loud laughter scarin' half the prey in their vicinity. The two havin' become good friends since the start of the journey. She'd been a bit of a flirt with teasin' words dripping with vanilla and sugar. If someone asked her why him, Honeycomb would give this big, brighter-than-the-sun grin. She fell in love with his molten gaze. The way he provided for his family. The soft look he gets when talkin' to the youngsters. It warmed her heart just watchin' the stupid fool work himself into the ground, burdened by ghosts she won't ever understand, and it was then that Honeycombsplash realized this *this* was the one she wanted to marry until they were old and grey in the face.
She'd been betrayed before, selfishly, Honeycomb didn't want whatever they had to disappear because of some emotions, but when had she ever bowed down? No. She quite literally tackled him into the ground, demanding him to be her mate. And when Duskpool said yes, Honeycombsplash had a stupid grin on her face for the rest of the day, hanging it over his head that she asked him first.
It made things a bit easier. Dyin' in his paws because she knew even in death, he'd protect her. She sunk into his obsidian fur with a tired smile. Her last heave had tired her. Too much blood coated her inner flanks. Somethin' she should be worried about, but not with a bulk of a tom tucked around her, rumblin' that raspy purr of his. Stars greatest gift, that sound was.
He might've not shown fear, but she knew. she'd be scared too, but everythin' felt fuzy. Her lips curled, gently urgin' him to name their little ones, voice shaky and broken, but firey like ragin' wildfires. Her flame dyin' out before she could tell him she loved him.

𝖳𝖧𝖤𝖨𝖱 𝖫𝖮𝖵𝖤 𝖲𝖳𝖮𝖱𝖸When Sakura came into the mix, not as unlucky as the rest of 'em. Their life started behind a chained fence blockin' the outside world from their prison. She was warmth and light when his world was nothin' but cold and dark.
Together, they carved a little peace. A litter of three. Their lives ahead of 'em, no longer trapped. But fate's got a cruel habit of tearin' good things apart when Sakura birthed their second litter, only a few hours old. Dogs came. Screamin' and snarlin'. They'd been cornered in an alleyway, their oldest litter tucked against him while Sakura held onto their three youngest. He'd been pinned beneath its weight, His body thrashing to escape, watchin' as they tore Sakura and his three newborn daughters to ribbons.
Barely escapin', Duskpool raised their oldest litter. He was holdin' on by a thin rope. He couldn't give up now. Not when he had to protect 'em. And so he pushed past the heartache and guilt trappin' him in a vice-like grip.
Things had been alright. With the three on the cusp of apprenticehood is when stray dogs appeared. With a heavy heart, Duskpool would face them one last time before leadin' the dogs away so that they could escape. He never saw 'em again.
He thought they'd died. A little piece of him died that day, too.

𝖳𝖧𝖤 𝖲𝖳𝖮𝖱𝖸watchin' cats be torn apart. duskpool learned early on what it was like to take a life. havin' been takin' in by the current leader, duskpool, mercy killed dozens, too broken to keep breathin'. he couldn't stand to see 'em suffer, knowin' help wasn't comin'. every drop of blood stained his paws crimson. his ghosts growin' and the vultures screamed with glee. he had to protect his little brothers. even if he didn't make it out alive. he had too.
and somehow, duskpool ain't ever asked to lead, but when their so-called leader, who'd taken him under his wing—the closest thing he had to a father-figure, turned tail and ran to save his worthless hide. it was duskpool they looked to for guidance, bloodied, battered, and barely graspin' sanity's edge. but, somehow, the wooly obsidian led 'em despite death clawin' at their hides just waintin' for one to slip through the cracks. and death was ruthless. it tore and took, and slaughtered 'em with bared teeth and rancid breath. some blamed him. callin' him the phantom reaper. namin' him death's right-hand. mercy kill after mercy kill. well, those who survived the initial attack. some died quickly.

ii these guys can be in any of the five clans, become kittypets/rogues/loners, part of a group, etc! they do not have to be part of skyclan! but if they are, they must be recent or current joiners.
iii there is no set activity requirement!
𝖠𝖣𝖣𝖨𝖳𝖨𝖮𝖭𝖠𝖫 𝖥𝖠𝖢𝖳𝖲these guys all would've been part of the dog-fighting circuit as bait animals. now, genetics and names are entirely up to you! i may be picky with ages, considering duskpool is currently 83 as of july, and he was roughly 25 when he escaped the pits. but these guys can have whatever opinion you'd like toward duskpool! whether that's idolizing him still, resenting him for possibly mercy killing a family member or friend, etc.
if you are interested, but would like to roleplay a younger cat, i am willing to accept children whose parents are connected, telling them stories and allowing them to formulate their own opinions of duskpool.
