Drizzlepaw is enjoying lounging in the camp - while the prospect of clan life was fascinating and exciting, Drizzlepaw finds it really hard to adapt to every-day life in the clan. Not that they don't want to, they really do, but their paws tire easily and their mind wanders. And so Drizzlepaw takes every opportunity they can to rest, to be ready for their next task. It's not their fault their eyes sometimes close on their own whim and he drifts off to sleep...
Such is the case even today, already exhausted by Hydrangeabloom's lessons, Drizzlepaw meant only to sit in camp watching if anyone needs help, but now his eyes are closed. The young cat didn't even lay down, his posture is straight and almost seemingly alert, were it not for his heavy eyelids and tired paws. When he hears paws shuffling in his direction, he sleepily hopes someone's just walking his way, not towards him, and slowly opens one eye to check. But it seems he was wrong, as the newly named Life Guard is clearly approaching in his direction, eyes focused on him. With a hurried scuffle, Drizzlepaw quickly sits up straighter, both eyes opened, awaiting Pebbledream's approach and what the Life Guard has to say to him.
"Oh.. sure!" Drizzlepaw replies, despite the ache in his muscles, for they want to prove they mean clan life seriously, despite its challenges. And following Pebbledream's suggestion is surely the right way to prove his dedication. "That sounds like a good idea, yeah!" The apprentice nearly asks if Thunderstorm can come with them, but bites his tongue to stop himself from doing so. Perhaps asking to invite the one they have their eyes on is not the wisest move, especially on such an important task. With the beautiful molly with them, Drizzlepaw would surely be more distracted than not, instead of focusing on the border and possible hunting.
Fishing is one of the things they haven't practiced enough yet and are for sure very insecure about, considering the cold season and so many hungry mouths to feed - the three kittens they brought in included. "Think we can stop to hunt if the river has thawed?" they ask, hoping it would be good practice, though dreading the cold still. But they promised themselves to do their best and that means doing even the things that are uncomfortable.
