() a comfortable chill creeps up the legs of the slender feline as she picks her way through the freshly fallen snow. fern bright eyes alight playfully on the small forms who frolic in front of her and smoke's den, a grin stretching her maw. "worry not, my minnows! your mossball has been rescued!" she crows, setting down the soggy sphere and lowing her body, wiggling her tail in the air before knocking the thing away, towards the happily squealing kits. as warmth keeps the cold of the winter's day away, willow bounds towards her charges, happily herding them closer to the den, refereeing the fiery game of moss ball. "play fair now! cicada, no biting!"

the day is bright and clear, midday sun shining golden down upon the salty waves and iced boardwalks. the kits' breath fogs the air as they huff and puff, little paws churning the powdery snow as they dash here and there. willow settles themself beside the old fishing hut, feathery tail curled around her paws as she watches her charges. several of the other kits from around the shipyard have joined her own family in their games - willow recognizes most of them, knows their guardians are off somewhere finding food for their respective families. smoke is off doing just that, lichen and haze probably too. willow is content to babysit for now. a yawn stretches their jaws, and they settle in for a long day.

a lithe black smoke feline with ghost striping and leaf green eyes. long smoky fur dashed through with grey and white adorns her frame, sliced across by darker stripes that frame her face and legs. eyes like sage, brilliantly green, gaze with an intelligent look. she is scarred across the bridge of her angular nose.

Wave of RiverClan
Wave's tail flicked lazily as she watched Willow trot back with a soggy ball in her jaws, a fanged grin spreading across her maw. The sight of the kits playing together brought a comforting warmth to her chest, even with the icy chill nipping at their noses. The sun, casting its golden rays over the clearing, helped them forget, if only for a moment... That they were still in the heart of leafbare. Its gentle warmth soaked into their fur, though Wave knew the wind would surely pick up again as evening crept closer.

Stretching out her limbs with a long, contented yawn, Wave turned her gaze back to the little ones. " Atta go, ya wee tikes! Don't let ol' Willow throw ya off yer game! " she called out, her grin widening as her pale blue eyes twinkled with amusement.

Her attention flicked to Willow, and she gave her a playful wink. " Come on now, Willow. They're gonna overthrow ye any moment now. Better watch yerself, or they'll be chasing ye 'round the clearing next! "

Let's play like we're children and sing till the moons full

Before the day we turn to nothing but sand

With the freshly fallen snow and the sun shining against the smattering of icicles and frozen dew beads scattered about the shipyard, Leafbare was truly a sight to behold. There was beauty in the harsh temperatures and fun among the soft flakes as kittens of all sizes and ages tussled and ran about. The brightly colored molly watched as the little ones tumbled by, stepping carefully around their playing field as she trotted over towards the two watchers.

A soft laugh couldn't help but slip past her muzzle as Wave's comment carries over to her, moving to slip into the conversation. "Oh, I'm sure Willow can handle them all on her own~. They may have the advantage in numbers..." Peachy stepped lightly across Willow's front. "but we..." She turned a half circle around the darker molly before popping back out from behind her with a small hop. "have strength and skill!" She puffed up her fur for added affect before she gave herself a light shake with a small laugh.

Turning back towards the mollies, she gave a bright smile before flopping down on her haunches and waving a single front paw in the air. "And longer legs, of course, which I think is the most important in a game of mossball." She glanced back at the playful grou, keeping track of all the little bodies before turning back to the younger adults.

Ugh, kit games, gross. Leech was not a fan of them, maybe once he had been even happily joining Willow and her kits but that was a different time when Leech still had that kit innocence. But time had passed and moved on since then, like a tide coming and going. It was difficult not to judge cats like Wave and Peachy who looked more than eager to join into the game despite standing at the sidelines cheering on with that pretendious smiles of thiers. Leech rolled his eyes at them.
" If you wanna join them why don't you just go over there?."
Leech cast a glance over at Rose who stood by his side watching as the family played. He had noticed of course, Rose was not that difficult to read through. In reply Rose just shook her head and he watched as she sinked further into her own insecured shell. Ugh...this was annoying.

Fine then.

Leech grimaced as he stept forward to head over towards the group all determinated.
" Rose would like to join, can she?."
He went straight to the point, not wasting any time to what he was after. Rose had followed along although she stood behind him for cover and looked a bit...terrified, she had even whisperd to him to stop and not do this but he already had sooooo, it was already to late for that. Besides, he knew how badly Rose wanted to be a part of this group, to feel included and to belong. The complete opposite of himself who dreamed of nothing more then to leave this place one day, when he was old enough and to never look back.

It would have been nice if Rose actually could have got herself some few friends before that happend so he would feel less guilty about it.
