It has been 100 or more years since then, the clans of the forest are but distant memories to any cats still alive, stories passed down to kits of strangely named wild warriors and leaders with nine lives but the time of the clans is upon us once more and the stars shine yet again.

indent The farm had no official training for young cats, but Dusty took it upon herself to make sure the kittens have good sense, and know what they're doing. And that means helping out with chores. For most of them, it's no big deal. Dusty would even describe it as 'fun'. But some rather disagreeable youngsters would disagree with her on that.
indent"This way, Brandy, and stick close. If that dog is still hanging around, we don't want to let it know we're here." It was time to check the borders of the far pasture. There's been no sign of the dog since they first chased it off, but cats don't usually come this way often, and there's no guarantee it hasn't been lingering about just out of sight. Dusty had elected to take Brandy with her - that kit is a real spitfire, and a thorn in Dusty's side. She doesn't like being told what to do, no matter how hard Dusty pushed. She hoped a more 'thrilling' task would entice Brandy to behave, but her confidence was waning.
