Leaf-bare would be upon them soon enough and to say it concerned the medicine cat would be an understatement. Less grew in leaf-bare and not to mention the drop in temperature and overall chill would likely guarantee a decrease in easy prey finding and catching, as well as an increase in sickness too. He dreaded to think of if any cat happened to have a tumble in the river's waters as the air got colder, as it would be certain that they would probably catch more than just a mere cold from the combination of cold water and cold air. Jinglemoon shuddered and fluffed out his blue tabby pelt, it was best not to worry about that now and simply do all he could to prepare for it instead while they still had a chance, herbs to help with sickness would be life savers in the coming moons...
Today, the falls were the chosen spot for herb hunting. He hoped the crashing and running of the water wouldn't make it too hard to hear his clanmates! ... Or for him to be heard either. "Anything you find will be useful, but if you can find anything for sickness... Coltsfoot or Dandelion and the like, those kinds of herbs will be the most useful in the coming moons" He'd mew to the patrol, dipping his head in thanks for those that had come along. "If you're unsure on any herb you find just ask and I'll check for you" He'd bite his tongue at how he had wanted to add 'or Rainpaw could check as well' pushing away the thoughts so he could focus on the patrol.
Snuffling around the shrubbery around the falls Jinglemoon would come across a familiar scent in his searching and trudged through until he came across the long leaves and black roots of comfrey! Not exactly the kind of herb that was the main focus of this patrol but still very useful nonetheless. Plucking some with a nip he'd place them in his long pelt in order to bring home to camp later. It was a good start to their search and he hoped the rest of the patrol were just as lucky in their searches as well!
