MEADOWPAW

There were so many things pulling her in different directions. Pebblepaw's disappearance—supplies swept away in the storms—lack of sleep. Each day was more tiresome than the last. She wanted to be out there looking for her friend. The patrols hadn't turned up with anything, and she feared for him more and more each day. But the clan needed her there, and she couldn't lay everything with Dimmingsun. That was too much work for one cat. She would know.

"Morning, Ravenmask. I thought you might be hurting, so I brought something to help." She mews, trying to put some energy back into her voice. "How are you feeling?" Weighted eyelids droop over her eyes, thoroughly inspecting despite the exhaustion they hold. If anything was bothering him, they needed to take care of it quickly. She didn't trust things to sort out on their own, not at his age.

The lack of dry ground was making life miserable and surely not good for old bones. When was the last time she even saw the sun? The dull orb had been curtained by dark clouds for so long. Once brittle grass, now turned to mush under their paws. The garden was in an unsightly state, completely drowned, the roots of the flowers likely teeming with rot.

WINDCLAN MEDICINE CAT APPRENTICE 10 MOONS SHE/HER
Meadowpaw values kindness and remembrance. As a kit, she internalized her mother's lessons, but questioned whether her way is the only way. She has broken free from the heavy burden of her mother's expectations due to their estrangement after the fire. She remains kind and soft-spoken through all she's endured, but is not afraid to speak out for what she believes is right.

Meadow works tirelessly at any task she undertakes, desperate to prove herself capable and worthy despite her disability. Without her mother's guidance, she finds new ways to express herself.

In conversations, she is gentle, thoughtful, and withdrawn, often hiding her struggles, fearing others seeing her as incapable. She continues to have a strong bond not only with her sister, but with her adopted family as well. Meadow uses her new freedom to support and deepen the bonds with her clanmates. Additionally, she has started to explore the more spiritual side of herself…

Her worldview is a complicated mix of hope and frustration. She wants to believe that there's hope at the end of all the suffering, but feels trapped by her limitations. With enough time and support, she may find a way to overcome her limitations and accept herself.

Well, Ravenmask had been awfully stubborn about this rain, for one thing. He liked his nest quite a lot, and he was usually given plenty of space to stretch his leg while he slept. After days without any relief from the rain, however... Well, even the numerous apprentices hadn't been able to scout out dry moss for replacing the soaked nest he slept in. His plush fur was fairly soaked through at this point, but still he had maintained that he was fine, he didn't need to relocate himself.

And now poor Meadowpaw was over here checkin' on him. While Ravenmask was certainly suffering his fair share, the medicine cat apprentice looked like she hadn't had a lick of sleep since the downpour began.

"Mornin', dear Meadowpaw," he mewed, trying to keep his voice bright. "I appreciate ya thinkin' of me in all this wet. It's definitely been... well I may not be old, but I ain't gettin' any younger." He graciouly took the herbs from her, then thumped his tail against a drier spot of the ground.

"You doin' alright yerself?" he asked. "Ya look tireder than a bat in leaf-bare."
