RATTLEKIT, Thunderclan Kit // He/They // #ffa34c
Smoke torbie / Chocolate lynx point chimera with low white and amber-yellow eyes
Son of THORNSTAR and SERPENTBERRY, sibling to LEAFKIT and THISTLEKIT
Just a little baby guy at the moment! Full of mischief and curiosity!

Rattlekit had roused from his sleep earlier then he usually did today and despite his best efforts to snuggle his pink nose back under his fluffy cobweb of colours tail in an effort to drift back into rest nothing seemed to work! Giving a restless grumpy sigh the kit would flail his little paws out in a stretch before gradually clambering up onto his feet, peering out from the nest that their little family rested in. If his siblings were also in the nest with him Rattlekit would give them a gentle nudge with one paw to stir them too, being awake alone was no fun after all! The grown up cats of the Clan were all usually pretty busy, with what? He didn't really understand but he was told it was important apparently. He had heard many times now too that the work his mother did was also incredibly important but despite that she was always incredibly caring of the three. Even she too needed some time to breathe though! And so she'd sent the kits to go find Juniperstar for the morning.

Finding Juniperstar? Now they had an important task to do too! How exciting! By now Rattlekit had clambered on out of the nest, looking back once with bright honey-coloured eyes that were hopeful his littermates would potentially follow him before waddling his way out in search for Juniperstar. His big amber eyes would scan the camp but so far there was no sign of their clan leader... Well now that was no fun! Maybe she too was too busy? But then, what if maybe they were playing a game of hide and seek? Rattlekit would wriggle his haunches before giving a small excited squeak and racing for the spot where Juniperstar's nest usually lay-- Ducking under and weaving around the much bigger paws of the older cats here and there where he had to with the usual grace of most kits as he did so-- Surely they would be found at their nest still right?

OOC: @thistlekit first then anyone else who wishes to join can go for it!

Their peaceful slumber is interrupted by a jab to their ribs. Thistlekit whines in protest as bright blue eyes crack open and blearily fix upon Rattlekit. A half smile slowly snakes across their maw at the sight of their sibling (they could never stay annoyed at Rattlekit or Leafkit for long) and the rosetted kitten stretches their legs and heaves themselves to clumsy paws.

Energy surges unbounding once they have shaken the sleep from their mind. A feat of youth that does not extend to Serpentberry given her suggestion to go see Juniperstar. Rattlekit takes the lead and Thistlekit, ever dutiful, follows after him. Weaving and shifting past long warrior legs, ducking beneath branches and the overhang to the leader's den. Bright blue eyes behold the nest belonging to Juniperstar and Thistlekit nudges Rattlekit's shoulder with kittenish mischief. "Play?" They suggest, jutting their head towards the plush nest that could be filled with treasures of all kinds.

Two kits underpaw wasn't such a strange concept. One that he had gotten used to since three caretakers gave birth to their young- Juniperstar's, Serpentberry's, and Palefern's brood were all quite familiar faces these days, some of them already well on their way to becoming regular troublemakers. He was more familiar with Serpentberry's bunch. He had been stuck in the nest near them while they made it through their formative first moon, until he was kicked out for the warrior's den (more like he fought Serpentberry on being let free), and knew the sight of their tiny pelts anywhere.

A noise left him, still surprised, as Serpentberry's young came rushing through, passing the conversation he was having with another warrior. Baby blues widened, a gasp leaving him as the two made it through camp's traffic unharmed. Seriously, those who were going to get their tails stepped on at this rate. A noise left him, almost apologetic to the clanmate he was speaking to, turning to follow the youngest amongst camp. "Oi, y' two." He called, half expecting the third to be along here shortly as well. "Don't-" A noise leaves him, perhaps a groan of exhaustion, as they slip into Juniperstar's nest. Eyes turn to find Serpentberry's nest, half expecting her to be standing there. A huff left him, moving to step closer and sticking his head into the den.

Juniperstar was out, much to his behest, likely hunting, also to his behest. "Wha' trouble are y' two abou' t' get into, hm?" He asks, a tiny grin on his face despite the very thing that could be about to happen.

Serpentberry nearly regrets her suggestion to the youth as soon as it slips through her lips - an exasperated sigh punctuated with a flick of her tail, and they're off to do as she says. The molly truthfully wavers in her seated position, wondering if all will be as bad as she thinks it may be. She remembers the fresh kill pile's mess after Thistlekit and Leafkit had been done with it... and decides, promptly, that it could all be worse than she anticipated.

She bids a silent farewell to whatever had occupied her time in that crucial moment, be it another cat or her work, before standing and trudging after her boisterous kittens. She can almost see the line they tear through camp, with how the sea of ThunderClanner's still breaks with their sudden appearances. That, and Thunderflash seems oddly insistent to follow little paws. A good friend, that one. She'd trust him to watch her kittens, if they each didn't pose a threat to his lifespan.

"When I said..." she starts, immediately explaining herself before any judgmental glare can be tossed her way, "... to find Juniperstar, that did not mean to go through her den like a wayward set of twin tornadoes!" Serpentberry grits her teeth as she looks between the two and then back, out of the den, "Great StarClan, where did Leafkit go off to?" If she's lucky, somewhere far from the fresh kill pile.

Full of mischief and curiosity! Rattle doesn't always do the right thing but always does what he thinks is best.

Thankfully Thistlekit woke up pretty quickly! Rattlekit bounced around excitedly on his paws while he waited for his sibling to rise before then scampering off to lead the way to Juniperstars' nest with Thistle in toe! At first, after the mischievous duo had arrived at the den Rattlekit would wiggle his nose, sniffing around the nest for any sign of their Clan Leader-- The bedding did smell like them after all! But so far no luck in finding her... Maybe she was buried deep within the nest, sometimes he and his siblings were harder to find when they tucked down in the moss more!-- Of course, they were tiny kits so they could better hide that way while Juniperstar was a fully grown cat who couldn't simply disappear into bedding materials, but how was he to know that yet!

When nudged Rattlekit would giggle and his tail flicked mischievously after Thistlekit suggested they play while motioning towards the Leaders' nest. Rattle would nod his head enthusiastically in response before reaching his little paws up to try and clamber on into the nest-- That is until another voice called to the pair, making him freeze mid-way through his clambering before slowly peering back around with wide amber eyes to see who had caught them before they even got the chance to start playing!

It was Thunderflash! A cat Rattlekit looked up to a fair bit for his strength and bravery-- He had stood up for the kits' siblings when Leafkit and Thistlekit had gotten in trouble at the weird leaf pile that the grown-up cats had called 'fresh kill' and Rattle could somewhat remember too when he had been in the den that them and their mother rested in, he had probably been recovering from some awesome fight he won no doubt! The pair of kittens in their excitement to find Juniperstar and play in her nest seemed to have missed when the tom called out to them to start with.

"No trouble! Honest!" He'd mew as he slowly climbed back down from the nest and placed his paws back down on the earth below-- Was that truly fully honest? The pair had wanted to play with the Leaders nest even though they'd been asked to find Juniperstar but, well they hadn't started anything yet so it was okay right? "Mumma wanted us to find Juniperstar! But she's not here-" Speaking of their mother she too had followed after them it seemed and when she dove straight into explaining herself, her son would tilt his head slightly as he looked up at her-- Was she wanting to avoid a repeat of what had happened with the freshkill pile? If he or his siblings got into trouble did that mean their mother did too? He would move to step in front of Thistlekit a little, not wanting them to get into any trouble a second time "I'm sorry Mumma- Thistlekit was just following me, it my fault- It won't happen again, promise!" He would hang his head down, shuffling his paws and looking up with big honey coloured eyes that hoped she wasn't too disappointed when he added, "I didn't find Juniperstar, I'm sorry" As though the task given were of the same importance of a real Warriors' task and not just something a kit had been given to occupy themselves with for a brief moment.
