Come on, come on
We can go away
We can go away
.
Copperstorm fussed over her the whole walk over here. Normally she might be a little annoyed but given recent events she found she relished in the concern from her mate even if she stubbornly kept her eyes forward. The far edge of Thunderclan's territory- an all too familiar fenceline just beyond the safety of the brush. Her old den hidden from view just behind it all. Dewshine sat, waiting for the tom to sit beside her before silently wrapping her tail around him. As if he would disappear if she didn't.
"It's hard to believe it's been almost a whole year since we met here." She hums out, staring at the fence. What was once her fence. How many days and nights had they spent there? Just talking the hours away? Pestering Copper about life outside of a twoleg's safety and shelter? Him asking her what kittypet life was like and why she stayed. At what point had it bloomed from a simple friendship to something more? She couldn't recall an exact moment as much as she wracked her brain for an answer.
She finally forces herself to look to her mate, orange eyes barely meeting gold. Her heart is threatening to beat right out of her chest. Did other cats feel this way when sharing such news? Maybe not, surely they didn't have stakes like this. It was why she'd dragged him all the way out here, as far from the Shadowclan border as possible.
"Copper, I'm pregnant..."
