a hollow fashioned from a fallen tree, half refuge and half office. a small nest of pine needles and moss sits in the far corner. scratch marks decorate the visible walls - some mysterious tally system known to only its inhabitant.

DEN APPEARANCE Hawkstar's den sits purposefully in the shadow of the Tallpine, an ever-present reminder of SkyClan's great legacy and achievements looming large over the leader's head. The fallen tree that she claimed as her own serves both as her apartments, her perch, and her throne, though it is rare to see her lounging around it for very long during the day while there is other work to be done.

Hawkstar's nest is placed within the tree, set just past the exposed root system that criss-crosses into a barrier: keep out, save for the very few that Hawkstar would want within her chambers. More formal meetings (or disciplinary actions) are settled in a crook between tree and ground, where a curtain of lichen and moss shields her company from more prying eyes. That doesn't help from Hawkstar's voice from carrying, but anybody who gets close enough to snoop is liable to get their own earful (or punishment) once she's finished with her last unfortunate visitor.

VISITING PURPOSES Punishment, council meetings, gossip.

DEN BOUNDARIES Hawkstar does not prefer to keep company within her den for very long, even if it is a spare moment with a close loved one. Even Hawkstar's mate and children do not sleep within her hollow and only visit for quick grooming sessions or the occasional cuddle. She is more lenient with her young adoptive children (of course, she could not say no to their little faces) but as they grow, she is oft to push them to stay in the nursery or apprentice dens as she believes it is better for their social development to stay in line with their peers.

Council meetings are meant to be short as there are only so many hours of the day, and Hawkstar does not take kindly to being the one summoned rather than doing the summoning. She'll call you, and never the other way around.
