a fragment of a trunk leans against a stalwart stone, a shelf fit for calling the clan to meeting and a cavern suitable for resting beneath.
DEN APPEARANCE
A great stone props up a gnarled, fallen tree trunk- the unfortunate victim of an ancient collapse of the quarry walls. Moss and lichen run rampant across its surface, dripping down as a dampened curtain to the hollow between.
The den itself is spacious, walled off by the careful, diligent paws that have pulled branches and ferns to blot out drafty holes in the back side closest to the camp wall. Light flutters in where leaves do not fill every gap and groove, insulated only enough to keep the winter chill from creeping in too easily. It is only thanks to the stone that marks half its support that gives the air an coolness to rely on during the hottest days of the seasons. Juniperstar's den has started quite drab, with only the collected moss of her bedding to keep her company when her kits are not present but it will only be a matter of time before she takes to collecting decoration as a source of comfort.
It is spacious enough to hold a small group of four or five full-grown adults but is generally not used for such things- Juniperstar prefers to hold meetings out in the territory where there is less risk of prying eyes and perked ears to interrupt. Because of this, it isn't common that she is found lounging around in her den waiting for conversation, ever the workaholic dedicated to patrolling and hunting as often as she's allowed. Your best chance to catch her in the crook of the Highstone is before the dawn patrol leaves... or well after the dusk patrol has returned home for the evening.
VISITING PURPOSES
There are few reasons you'll find Juniperstar entertaining guests within her den...
Her preference remains to live out in the forest amongst her clan rather than sequestered into a dark shelter within camp though she is content to handle less-than-confidential information and discussion within its shade. Typical conversations may include updates about training, name change requests, and general idle gossip. Anything more serious, such as patrol reports, interpersonal conflicts or council meetings are drawn outside of camp unless otherwise prevented from doing so.

DEN BOUNDARIES
Juniperstar does not name herself as one of the few territorial cats in the clan; warriors are welcome to come and go from her den as her assumption remains that she should be accessible to anyone and everyone who wants or needs her attention. She is not defensive to find others inside her den waiting for her or pestered by those entering at odd hours to seek her counsel. Conflating her openness with an opportunity to be disrespectful however will result in immediate removal from the den and insistence against respecting that privacy may be met with punishment.
Kittens and apprentices (though suspect of nefarious, pranking purposes) are not prohibited from the leader's den and may take shelter there as they see fit.
Open-minds and thoughtful tongues are welcome in her space... when they stop being that, you become an intruder.
