Now this is interesting. Sunkit circles the newest addition to the familiar walls of ThunderClan's camp like a hawk, eyes wide and smile wider. "You're new," fae chirps, excitement bleeding through the words. "New-new-new, I've never even seen you before! Never ever!" Not like Faithkit and her siblings, from outisde and yet nestled away in the nursery until they were ready to meet the world. No, this kitten was fresh as a summer strawberry.
"Mulberry..." Fae tilts faer head, echoing the name the other kits have been whispering. It's strange, off-kilter. Lacking the sharp syllable that should end it. The moment of contemplation is fleeting; before long, the kit is bouncing forwards with questions spilling from faer tongue. "Where'd you come from? Is it far? Or near?" A gasp."Maybe you were right outside the camp and I didn't even know! Were you? I betcha were, huh?" He hardly gives the other kit a moment to answer before he's laughing at the thought of it. Then a pause.
His grin turns crooked, the thought of this strange new kit vanishing back to wherever they came from suddenly making itself known. "You're dad's probably coming soon, right? That's what Moonkit said. But can you stay a little longer, 'cause I haven't even played with you yet?" There's a pleading note to the words, bordering on a whine. He doesn't want this Mulberry to go and leave him bored again, not when there are so many questions to ask!
