APPEARANCE
Hollowmumble is a tall, lithe, black spotted ghost tabby with low white spotting around her muzzle, neck, legs, and right ear. She has bright amber eyes.
PERSONALITY
Hollowmumble is, at heart, a very sweet she-cat. She tries her best to get along with others, though often feels isolated and like nothing quite clicks with other cats like it's supposed to. She often finds herself metaphorically stepped over and ignored if she tries to put her thoughts out there, and ends up sitting in the background while the louder cats voice their opinions.
Hollowmumble has taken it upon herself to provide for the clan in one of the only reliable way she knows how, hunting. She will frequently hunt from sunrise to sunset to keep the clan fed as best she can, often alone. If she can hunt enough, maybe she can make herself feel like she has a place within the clan.
HISTORY
Hollowmumble was born to a small twoleg home to an un-spayed she-cat who had many litters before. Then named Mr. Whiskers, she was raised with her siblings until they were deemed old enough to be given away to different homes. Separated from her family, yet well loved by her new two-legs, she thrived for quite some time as the only cat in the household. She was safe and comfortable, and well into adulthood when things went wrong.
She never knew why it happened, but one day things slowly started disappearing from the house, and then she found herself dumped in a foreign landscape. Everything unfamiliar, and no two-legs to keep her safe, she quickly went hungry and had to tap into her instincts to survive. It's only thanks to the kindness and help of strangers like Merrystalk that she found herself in such a comfortable position in the barn.
Her many months in the barn were spent mostly alone, still adjusting to being a stray, homeless, with no family to seek comfort in. Merrystalk was sure to keep her company, and she soon met a kitten named Clover who she became feircely protective of after her mother rejected her. Hollowmumble slowly came to know many cats in the barn, on a surface level at the very least, until that haunting day where it all burned to the ground. One of the first to escape, she watched as the fire destroyed everything it touched within minutes, barely holding Clover back from running back in to try and help her mother.
Initially skeptical of Dustystar, the clans, and 'Starclan', she internally rejected it all as nonsense. Over time however, with new clans popping up like gophers, and the mystical stories, she began to have trouble denying it all. The first Gathering changed everything. The violence brought by the other clans, and Starclan themselves appearing to decree peace upon them all, sent her into great turmoil. She is still struggling with understanding and accepting the reality of it all.
After Goldy's declaration that Dustystar was going to take a hunting party into Skyclan's territory during the winter, due to their struggles with prey, Hollowmumble was not shy with her distain for the idea. Due to the backlash and fighting it caused, she fled the meeting and now questions her place within Windclan. After the demise of Dustystar on that hunting patrol, she avoids most cats of the clan, and spends most of her days outside of camp hunting.
