you are a warrior. warriors don't give up and don't back down. pick up your sword and fight.
So it didn't give them much bonding time, but who needed that mushy shit, anyway? Lionfire grumbled, picking his way through the unfamiliar terrain since starting this damn journey, seeking a viable spot to talk when the flutter of bird wings prickled his keen senses. Of course. He shot an odd glance at Cygnetpaw, wooly plumage flickering in debate before deciding it wouldn't be a great idea to leave his apprentice alone.
Who knows what was lurking out here? The warrior wasn't too keen on finding out or telling her mother that one of her kits got shredded by something because Lionfire wasn't responsible. He sighed gruffly, pausing his steps to pivot, facing the young apprentice with narrowed hues. "Think it's about time I taught you how to hunt the smaller stuff running around." He uttered grumpily, sitting down with a grunt, snow flurries kicking up with the motion.
"Can't have you going around being useless when you're my apprentice." Can't have you starving if ya get lost. That is what he should have said, but Lionfire wasn't particular about the mushy stuff. It made his nose wrinkle in disgust at the too-sweet words. Not that Cygentpaw would get lost. Not if he could help it.
"Wanna explain what a small critter is, huh? Show me your huntin' crouch." Lionfire wanted to see if the kit had been paying attention to the older apprentices when she'd been a kit.
