Dimmingsun can get used to this—and he surely will, seeing as he's already thinking of further patrols he can lead in the future. It's all useful, of course; WindClan will always be in need of herbs, and it'd be foolish not to take advantage of warriors who happen to have less tasks on their plate that day. It only makes sense. There are no ulterior motives behind it... none at all.

His paws are confident now as they carry him past the windswept hills. What grass manages to grow amongst these sunlit conditions feels a lot drier than in other locations, but his pads are getting used to the feeling. His home feels like a reflection of himself now: tough and resilient. Not every cat could withstand the sweltering sun during greenleaf... nor the icy winds buffeting your fur come leaf-bare, though that is something Dimmingsun has yet to experience. With each stronger gust of wind that only seem to increase in amount and severity, he knows that the snowy days are getting closer.

That's precisely why he is so adamant about gathering as many herbs as possible. He intends to prove himself even further to his Clanmates; if they are to survive the harshest of seasons under his care and watch, then he will need sufficient materials.

Perhaps... a bargain could even be struck with the other Clans- something to keep WindClan at the top. Strategy, strategy.

Dimmingsun slows and eventually comes to a halt inbetween a dip of two hills. It's almost valley-like, the way the ground rises on either side, giving them the appearance of cloud-reaching mountains from down here. Any rain or night-time wetness has ample chance to gather here, giving useful medicine more chances to grow—all while remaining shielded from too-intense winds.
"This spot ought to be good,"
he declares, facing the patrol.
"Gather anything that seems useful; Meadowpaw and I will check them over afterwards."
