Sun dripped down from the blue, cloudless sky and warmed the earth for likely one of the last times. The river was starting to chill, and Turtle felt the chill push through her thick fur. The current gently pulled her along, carrying her stars knows where. She didn't care at all, though. She was just happy to be going somewhere. The last place was cold, and lonely. No one had wanted to be around her long enough to actually make a friend! All the adult cats there seemed to be focused on themselves. Even the cats her age didn't want to hang out with her. Bah! Who needs them! Now, the river was her friend and it was taking her on an adventure.
She had tried swimming for some of the small fish that gathered in the shallows, but it had been so fun getting her feet wet and she got distracted and she figured the river had a better place for her to be than there so she let it float her away from that stupid place. The tortie watched as trees and fields rolled past her. This was a much easier way to traverse through the world than walking everywhere. Maybe she would find a place full of mice and toads and snails and frogs and bugs and mice and toads and snails an-
The smell of cats hit her like a wall, and the river seemed to pick up its pace a little. Her calm float turned into a more panicked float. "Uhhhh... River? I think I'm ready to leave now?" She mewed, turning from her back to her belly to try paddling to shore. The river did not appreciate her trying to leave its presence and a quick undercurrent pulled her paws from under her so she was spinning in its flow. "Not nice!" she yowled between gasps of air. She liked the river, and had found a small bit of confidence in it, but this was a new kind of river. The water was fast and churning. It refused to let her go. "I'd like to leave now!" She tried to plead one last time. Turtle knew river's couldn't hear, but her yowling was worth a shot.
ooc: turt's here!!! she's currently flowing past riverclan's territory and having a tough time getting out! feel free to powerplay and scoop her from the river!
