Hello and welcome to Purrgatory! We are an 18+ Warrior Cat Roleplay set in an AU where the clans were unable to leave the forest territories and perished!
It has been 100 or more years since then, the clans of the forest are but distant memories to any cats still alive, stories passed down to kits of strangely named wild warriors and leaders with nine lives but the time of the clans is upon us once more and the stars shine yet again.
OOC– Sunpaw and his fellow apprentices return to camp from a hunting patrol cut short after a storm suddenly picks up.
Now, Sunpaw didn't consider himself a picky a cat. He was known to enjoy a good splash in a puddle or a good mudfight every now and then- but this? This was starting to test the young toms patience. Was it too much to ask for some clear skies and warm weather? He just wanted to run around for a while without having to worry about catching sick.
""When the adults warned us about spring showers I wasn't picturing this." Sunpaw complained as he and the rest of his fellow apprentices filed back into their den, near soaking from the sudden rainfall that had washed out their attempts at a hunting patrol.
The ginger and white tomcat couldn't help but show his disappointment as he paused in the entryway to shake out his fur before moving farther in to make room for the next cat, settling beside his nest with his disheveled fur spiked out from the wet ruffling.
"You guys don't think it'll be this bad the whole time, do you?' he asked, more out of curiosity than complaint as he began licking his far dry.
He'd been born in summer, when the weather had been hot and the fall pretty mild. It wasn't really until leafbare hit that the boy gained any experience with cold or dreary weather, and at this point it felt like he'd been staring at gray skies and snowbanks for half of his life.
He was ready for the sun to come back.

Rain seemed a little nicer than the freezing cold and snow. The cold hurt his paws, but the rain made the ground soft and squishy. Of course, it wasn't ideal, Cinderpaw couldn't imagine dealing with the squishy ground all season. If it kept raining, then maybe they would start sinking into the ground. That was a terrifying thought, shaking his head against it. "I was expecting a little bit of rain," he says, moving closer to his nest while flicking water off of his paws with each step. A heavy sigh leaves his chest as he flops into his nest, too lazy to start drying out his fur. He's get to it eventually.
"I hope not," Cinderpaw looks at the entrance of the den, then towards his fellow apprentices. "If it is, then I'm going to scream at the sky. We'll drown with all this rain!" The tortie rolls over to his paws, beginning to lick down his chest fur, attempting to dry it out. Yeah, screaming at the sky would make the rain stop. Totally. One-hundred percent. The idea was stupid, but he would climb to the highest point he could, take in a deep breath, and tell it to stop.

we're living in a dream, living in a dream
spilling our time, on repeat, on repeat
It wasn't even all that cold, but with the rain, it was the sort of day where the chill soaked down to your bones and left you shivering. Rimepaw supposed she didn't mind the rain most of the time - raindrops preferred to sit on top of her fur most of the time, rather than soak it - but this was one time she agreed with the other apprentices chattering next to her. It had been miserable out lately.
She resisted the urge to shake out her fur and douse just about everything and everyone in the den with a fine coat of mist as she entered - though, after seeing Sunpaw do it, she had half a mind to copy him. Still, she went to take a seat by her nest (not in it - she'd made that mistake once, and didn't feel like spending the night in a soggy nest), ready to spend however-long grooming her fur back into a dry and presentable state. Part of her didn't want to believe it was going to do this every few seasons For the rest of their lives.
Her eyes were drawn away from her black fur as the others began an idle chat about the current situation outside, and her tail whisked in recognition. "I don't think nature opts to take our opinions into account very often," she posited. There probably wouldn't be much reason in the first place to make these 'clans' if it did. "If we're lucky, it'll clear up... eventually."
Hopefully she'd be picked up for another patrol afterwards. The prospect of either being cooped up in this den or being pelted with rain the second she stepped out didn't seem very appealing. At least it gave her a little time to learn a bit about her denmates - two moons sticking with this group, and she hadn't learned much about any of them. Not that she'd really tried so far.
Rain and long-furred pelts didn't mix well, Grizzlypaw found. His coat felt as heavy as a badger laying across his back while he stomped back into the apprentice's den, his tongue lacking the distinct preyblood that would have painted him successful before the rain.
"Uuugghh, this sucks big fat owl eggs." Grizzlypaw harshly shook his body to rid himself as much water as he could at the expense of the apprentices around him. "It can't rain forever, dunno there's a place in this forest that does." He finished with a lazy swipe to the water dribbling down his whiskers. "Could've sworn I scented a thrush right before the wind threw it, too. Hopefully it's still out there when we go back." Because they had to go back once it cleared, right? A second chance to prove themselves?

"Yeah. If it turns out this is why we're called Thunderclan I'm gonna be super disappointed. We might have to move away and change our name to something else. My votes on Sunclan– for obvious reasons." he grinned, tone playful and well meaning.
He flinched as water was flung his way from Grizzlypaw, but he only wiped his face on his forearm before moving on with his life, not bothered enough to scold them. Besides, with all that fur it must have been extra miserable to get wet like that.
Speaking off.
"Do you want some help drying off, Rimepaw?" he offered, amber eyes settling on the black and white shecat.
Her fur was longer as well, but unlike him and Grizzlypaw, she hadn't shaken her coat off to dry off at all.
Wouldn't do to get sick. Serpentberry needs those herbs. he thought to himself. Besides, catching a chill was never any fun, and his coat was a lot shorter and quicker to dry.
