A stride made in time between the two, Sablestar had left camp in search of understanding the swamp more without the bitter sting of his eyes holding him back. With his wounds now mended with only scarring left behind, it was time for him to get a better sight of the place. Even through his squinted vision he knew it bore a beauty yet to be seen by the many. And now he was able to bare his eyes against the chilly breeze, look up and face the full length of the pond pines that lines the forest.

"You're quite the watchful eye, Coalstrike." Sablestar mused with a relaxed smile. "I saw it, in that meeting. What do you look out for, anyway?" Is it something he should look for, too? Something he already scopes out for? Or maybe he's struck notice on some sort of paranoia, whatever it was he was made curious to know.

I'LL SHOW NO MERCY, I'LL SHOW NO REMORSE.

Coalstrike padded beside Sablestar with deliberate precision, his every step a quiet confidence. His amber gaze swept the surroundings before returning to the leader, the faintest flick of his ear acknowledging the comment about his watchful eye. " I like to be. " he replied simply, his tone calm and measured. His tail lightly brushed the ground as he walked, leaving faint trails in the dirt.

When Sablestar pressed further, asking what exactly he had been looking out for, Coalstrike let out a low rumbling laugh. It wasn't a sound of amusement but more one of acknowledgment, as though he appreciated the directness of the question. He tilted his head slightly upward, his amber eyes glinting with a sharp, calculating edge. " I was keeping an eye out for disorder. " he explained, his voice smooth but laced with a certain weight. " For grumbling cats, those whose muttered complaints could turn into something more disruptive. I wanted to see if there were any who might dare to disagree with you openly or who might harbor quiet dissent. "

Coalstrike glanced back at Sablestar, his gaze steady and unwavering. " What you are building here. " he continued, his tone gaining a hint of approval. " Has the potential to be something strong, something enduring. But strength requires structure, and structure requires discipline. Too many cats have lingered in the shadows, unwilling to fall in line, to fit the mold of your leadership. "

He paused briefly, his sharp amber eyes studying the leader. " Those who cannot or will not adapt will only hinder the rise of what ShadowClan could become. And while I will gladly see to the shaping of this new order, I believe it's clear that the foundation must first be secure. "

Coalstrike's tail flicked once more, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. " I am here to ensure that the cracks are sealed before they spread. "
