About Jinglemoon

Jinglemoon is a long furred blue tabby tom with low white, long pointed ears with curved tips and dazzling blue eyes. Originally a kittypet with five silver bells that adorned his pelt earning him his name, Jingle went on to join the shipyard cats group that eventually became the new RiverClan around the time of the Shelter Collapse. He became the new RiverClans' first Medicine Cat and earnt his full name after being visited in his dreams by the StarClan cat, Phloxwish.
Jinglemoon is a very peaceful cat and will always encourage others to talk first, fight only when necessary. He highly values the connection to StarClan and will help any cat that's suffering even if they are not from RiverClan and even if this goes against the wishes of a leader. He can be perceived as caring a little too much and holds every loss under his care with a heavy heart. He does everything he can to make sure no cat suffers under his watch.

Jinglemoon was mentored by no one and has mentored no one thus far.

DEN DESCRIPTION & RULES

The RiverClan Medicine Den is sheltered within a hollow near the willow tree in the RiverClan camp, the entrance is covered by a curtain of reeds and moss that gently chime in the breeze or as cats enter and exit the Medicine den, due to Jinglemoons' old silver bells now adorning three of the entrance reeds. The floor of the den is oftentimes sandy and cool to the touch or otherwise covered by leaf litter, pebbles and moss in order to keep it cozier during the colder seasons.

A tiny stream of water runs through the back most part of the den snaking its way across the floor in a crevice caused by water erosion, this tiny stream runs from the back of the den to one side of the walls and marks the area in which the Medicine cat and their apprentice nests' are kept, the small stream also offers a small source of water to drench moss in. Behind their nests along the back wall lays the herb storage which was dug out of a reinforced wall made of mostly mud and stones, this 'shelf' in the wall has had little caves dug into the bottom of it to act as pockets in order to store herbs, all of these pockets are lined with pebbles to help keep the stored herbs clean, tidy and dry.

Across the den from where the Medicine cats' nests are lays a few extra nests meant for cats who have long-term stays while the rest of the bedding and nests lay in the main chamber closer to the entrance and are intended for nesting cats with more minor injuries. All nests within the Medicine den are usually made of moss and usual bedding material but Jinglemoon will often times fetch more desired nest materials for patients to add to their nests as well even if it's specific to every cat, especially for the long-term patients. He has also been known to use the bells on the entrance reeds to try and cheer up kits.

Though welcoming to pretty much all cats who enter Jinglemoon does set the rules of that no cat touch the herb stores unless they have permission by him to do so as well as to give cats who are sick space to avoid spreading the sickness further. He enjoys casual chatter but there will be times where he needs to focus on his work and during these times he will request cats come back later.

CURRENT PATIENTS

RUSSETFALL - Infected wound on the shoulder from an injury sustained during the Shipyard shelter collapse. Was made worse by their travel to RiverClans' new territory irritating the injury. Should avoid putting more strain on the affected area at all times. Needs herbs to help with infections + cobwebs. Date entered; 17/FEB/2025
