A night of celebration, and a day following revenge. Jadethorn finds herself sucked into a bout of promiscuity, riding high on emotions with two particular toms of Shadowclan's higher ups: Night Guard Coalstrike and Deputy Wolfpack. After a successful heist on the fish-eaters of Riverclan, the first conception was punctuated by the praise she found in Coalstrike, as Sablestar condemned the heist as a whole when they returned. The second was one of desperation, after taking down the fox that had injured Marbleshine. A point to prove to herself that the injured molly would not hold her heart captive. Who better than Wolfpack, the deputy of the clan she so wanted under her claws, to help her? Now, Jadethorn carries the kits of both, only realizing after a visit with the Thunderclan's medicine cat. Will the 3 work together to raise the kits, or will their different lineages cause things to be torn asunder?

A sharp thing, too much bone and too little of everything else, where one would expect to find softness, one would instead meet ragged edges and sharp bones.

Silverkit is a Blue Rosette Tabby with Low White and Finnish Roan Spotting. With their markings, it is undeniable who of the father's are their own, their finnish roan spotting alone would have been enough to recognisably be Wolfpack's child, but their colouration wholly being taken from their father with the same sort of mismatched eyes makes them undeniable. Carrying a green eye from their mother and blue from their father, they seem a perfect tiny mix of their parents, down to the ring neck marking and ear spots from their mother. Even as a kitten, they have a very bulky, wide stance, not quite large enough yet to know if they will inherit their father's enormous size. In battles, Silverkit excel at climbing and fighting, but is poor at hunting and sneaking. With the gentleness and tact of a war horse, Silverkit will grow into a downright brute, with the strength of their father and intelligence of their mother, they become a deadly combination of brute force with a strategy behind it. However, they will prove useless in stealth missions as much as they can plan, they seek the blood in their claws for the good and glory of their clan. While they may not reach the full size of their father, they will still be on the larger side and use it as leverage during battle to beat down and injure enemies before they can get much damage in return. With decent defence, they can handle attacks back, but downright refuse to back down until the very end. Leading them to being in dangerous fights where they could risk losing their own life in a fight that to anyone else is obvious they would lose.

Jackalkit might start out as an ugly little thing at first, his pelt a molting pattern into another as rosettes melt into whites and blues. One thing is for sure, though, this kit belongs to Coalstrike, as he will bear the Night Guards sign of great size with wide paws and ears. Once the kitten-blues wear away and Jackalkit grows into himself with time, that wispy fluff will give way to a long, soft coat of smoky hues and rosettes. His pelt will not lean in any direction towards either parent, sat in the middle of the two instead as he bears Jadethorn's bengal pattern and Coalstrike's smoky shades. His father stakes claim from his eyes- a brilliant gold and copper, striking with the same fiery soul.

Amberkit will do her best to make Jadethorn proud, and try to prove herself 'worthy' of being her daughter. At times, her desire to prove her mettle may cause her to act irrationally or act cruelly to her peers. Despite talking big game, she's not very sure of herself.

As she gets a bit older, Amberkit will try to solve the mystery of her parentage. Her appearance doesn't make it clear who her father is, so she'll try to figure it out by comparing her abilities and personality to Coalstrike and Wolfpack.

Perhaps she'll end up emulating the one she prefers, in order to prove that he's her 'real dad'?

Amethystkit will be tiny at birth and even though they will growing, they will stay rather small. They're lithe and have a gangly build. Its fur is short and silky. Their fur is pitch black on their left side and blue on their right side. The blue fur is dotted with darker rosettes. Once its eyes lose their kitten blue, they will reveal a mismatched gaze. Their left eye is golden and their right eye is moss green. Just from looking at them one would not be able to tell who its father is.

KIT - They are a quite curious and inquisitive. As a kit they like to learn as much as they can and will develop their own morals, which will mostly be positive. It's a rather quiet kit, who prefers to keep to themselves or its family if they are not learning something. As a kit they are mostly oblivious to the expectations placed on them, though the older it grows the more it will realise what it means to have two high positions as possible fathers and their perfectionistic tendencies start to show.

APPRENTICE - As an apprentice the expectations start to wear them down. They feel like they have to be perfect at all times and need to be a good role model because its father is either the deputy or a night guard. They will become extremely perfectionistic and it doesn't handle failure very well. Though it always tended to keep to themselves, they will now start to actively push others away as they feel like its true self is not good enough for them. It's not as bad around family, but they still feel like they can't truly be itself around them. They are usually quiet and eerily calm at all times, though if pushed enough they are prone to emotional outbursts.

WARRIOR - They won't have changed much from when they were an apprentice. If anything it has become even more perfectionistic and eager to please their parents and gain their approval. They're pretty intelligent and cunning. There is a certain ruthlessness about it and they usually follow orders to the t. The morals they developed as a kit have been pushed aside mostly to be what their parents expect of it. However their morals are not completely gone and they will always have an internal conflict if they get an order that goes against them.

• GENDER UNCERTAINTY // There will always be a lingering feeling that "female " simply doesn't describe them, though they won't give it much thought until they become an apprentice. They will briefly consider if they are male, though they will realise that this does not describe it either. Eventually they will realise that they will decide to not use a label to describe their gender. They will accept any pronouns, but are most comfortable with they/it and do not care if/what gendered terms are used for them. Ooc I will always be using they/it pronouns, though I will be using she/her pronouns ic until it comes out.
• THEIR FATHER // How not knowing who its father is affects them will depend on ic circumstances. If their parents handle raising them and their siblings well, they won't mind having two father figures. It actually quite likes having two fathers. However if their don't handle it well, they will hate the uncertainty and wish they knew who their father is. Either way they feel like it has to be perfect at all times due to both Coalstrike and Wolfpack having high positions in the clan.
• POWER // I consider buying it a power once I have enough freshkill. This will only play into their mindset of always having to be perfect because they will believe that Starclan thinks it's someone special and it has to live up to that.

  At first, this cat is intended to be what looks like an impressionable little copy of their mother, willing to go along with what they are told down to the letter and become just like them— to the point where it might even look or seem a bit strange from an outside observer. However, from the perspective of this cat, it comes from a place of wanting to be loved and cherished by their parents, all three of them. Unfortunately, they will not find this parental and familial love that they are seeking as they envision it... Their story is one of realization and self-actualization, to go from a pawn of someone elses game to a royal of their own making.
  
  The way that they look and chimerism makes it both clear and unclear who their father is, but it will be certain just how much they are like their mother, at first. Afterward, they will grow away from the worst traits they could inherit to some of the best, subtly and unknowingly. The pressure from all three parents, the drive to mold them into the perfect Warrior will result in this cat at first being apprenticed as a Shadowclan Thief, going for skills similar to Jadethorn. The incentive and demands to be just that much more like their parents will start to push them away from their parents gradually, faster depending on how any one of the three acts towards them or even others that this cat has grown fond of or close to to the point of requesting a different mentor (under the assumption that their first mentor would be any of their parents or someone close to them too), and a switch to the Shadowclan Trapper rather than Thief. It is here that they first earn the -glare suffix, named for their gaze that has been notably intensifying, matching the strict and stoic visage of her fathers...
  
  Eventually, they will crack under the ever growing demands and snap at their parents and more openly break away from them. This will lead to some form of incident where they get scarred— the exact details of which are nebulous at this time, and the details will be plotted closer to the event itself. Afterward, their already strained loyalty to the idea of Shadowclan will break too after continually meeting members of the other clans across their life, and they will strike out on their own for a time before returning to Shadowclan of their own volition where they will likely completely avoid or ignore their parents, and possibly their own siblings depending on how they all grow around each other. It is here that they will formally request to be renamed with the -grave suffix, abandoning who they once were, and who their parents thought she would be.
  
  This cat's deepest desire is to be known as herself, not as the daughter of any particular cat, to show that she is worthy purely because of herself and what she does, not where she comes from and who she is connected to, an open defiance to being molded into a carbon copy of her parents— in this bid for freedom she will actively choose to be someone that would counter her parents— to exist in spite of the challenges, to never be cruel or cowardly, to be strong enough to be kind...   Blue Rosette shorthair tabby with low white × Blue Rosette longhair tabby with finnish roaning chimera, has amber eyes, but something brews within them... → This cat is an enigmatic in visage, they look a lot like their mother Jadethorn, with cues from both Wolfpack and Coalstrike— Overall, at first glance one might mistake them for a simple blue rosette tabby, however, on closer inspection they are anything but simple. Starting at their head and going down towards their tail in a spiral around their body, they have long hair, whereas everywhere else they have short hair. It is as if they were an improperly mixed cocktail of two liquids that have different weights such like water and oil. Their short fur has some white markings such as a pattern that matches Jadethorn's eyelids and neck marking whereas their long fur has patches of white finnish roaning. Their silhouette is similar to Coalstrike whereas their stance and physical mannerisms match closer to Wolfpack. Outside of the 'spiral' of different fur lengths, and their amber eyes they have no notable individual and unique traits, being a strange dull reflection of Jadethorn, Coalstrike and Wolfpack all at once... Or is something hiding behind their eyes, something more? Something beautiful, or something ugly? Only time will tell...

  Overall Personality → At first, this cat will be a bit of a meek thing, wanting to do practically everything and anything so that others notice them. Their voice will be soft, completely unlike that of her parents which potentially doesn't match up with her appearance. Generally, as a youth they will be pretty clingy towards their parents or anyone else that shows them even the tiniest shred of kindness, even more-so if it is genuine kindness and appreciation. Furthermore, because she will want to be noticed and in everyone's good graces, she will have a form of mischievous streak— sabotaging and undermining the acts of those that she isn't as attached to just to make herself seem more impressive, this is also her competitive side showing in a very subtle way, and it is highly likely that she will grow out of it. When speaking, she is rather formal, and her mannerisms cause her stride to be graceful as she is trying to imitate the idea of her mother that she has in her head early on.
  
  Eventually, this cat will become a confident individual, with a sort of welcoming and kind presence that exceeds her size, growing into an outspoken sort of cat that knows not to just go along with whatever others say, she will need a proper reason to attach herself to a cause as well as other cats. Their defiance will begin to grow in the face of pressure from her parents rather quickly, which will lead to her needing to become self sufficient in a multitude of ways. Furthermore, she will want to stand out, and be less like the worst that she sees in her parents outright. Rather than trying to emulate some perfect idea of them in her head, she will instead choose to carve her own path over following theirs— it is likely that she will end up very different to what is expected of her.

APPEARANCE

A tall and strong short haired black rosette tabby with low white. He is a bit bigger than the usual for his age, always was like that, which seems to slow down as he enters warriorhood, ending up at an average height. He is lanky until hitting apprentice age. With the training for warriorhood, he starts getting muscles and putting up weight. At the end of his training/apprenticeship, he is blocky, with well defined muscles.


Possible genetics:
If Coalstrike: carries Chocolate, Long-Haired, Non-Bengal, and Solid. Has a chance to carry Dilute.
If Wolfpack: carries Chocolate, Long-Haired, Non-Bengal, Dilute, and Solid.

PERSONALITY AND PLOT POINTS

FIERCE — TEMPERAMENTAL — VAIN — BROKEN ​

Kit - As a kit he was very much an extroverted and curious fellow. Blunt to a fault, he learns early there's expectations on how to behave and how to not behave, at first he tells what is in his mind: it's dumb and he wants to do other things, be his own person (with less insight than that, as he is very young still). At this age he wants to play and protect his siblings, sometimes fighting with even his own parents in favor of his siblings. As he is growing up, he starts to accept the weight his parents put on his shoulders. He will, as he is about to be apprenticed, start questioning his gender (he will be referring to himself as she/her until this point, open to have plot points about his transition!!).

Apprentice - He feels that his parents have high expectations for him and his siblings,and he wants to meet each one of them. He works hard, day and night training and doing his best to become a warrior, the best one possible. If any of his siblings rebels against their parents, he will grow cold and distant to that sibling, maybe even punctuating how he expected better of his kin, and that now that they are growing up they need to do better. May grow closer to a specific parent if one of them is his mentor, wanting to show off his abilities at every learning opportunity. At this point will become confused and unsure on who to look up to as his father, and may resent Jade (depending on how their relationship develops) for not knowing who his father is. At this stage he will start developing his vain and self-conceited personality, he will think he is better than others, specially than cats from other clans. Whenever he fails, he will start lashing out to those he considers beneath him, including his siblings. He will start using they/them for himself from 6 to 7 moons old, from then on he will start referring to himself as he/him, open to have plot points about his transition!!)

Warrior - He manages to pass his assessment, possibly even with flying colors. Still, he doesn't feel proud of himself or happy, he just feels hollow. Like he achieved everything he ever wanted, everyone is proud of him, maybe he even got his favorite parent to like him, and it still doesn't feel enough. He doesn't feel successful, he starts realizing that maybe he never will. He feels inadequate, everyone should want what he has, and it still doesn't feel good for him. He starts lashing out at others more and more times, even close friends, until it comes to a boiling point. He feels he has no one left, he feels cracking under the pressure of everything he should be but that he feels he may never be. And even how he should be feeling with everything that he succeeds on, but that he just can't feel accomplished, he always feels like he is lacking, like he is not good enough, not working hard enough. I would like to see how that would evolve in character with everyone involved, including possibly friends. Something makes him be able to shed all this pressure off. Not sure if it is a big fight, maybe he hurts someone badly before coming back to his senses and he feels guilty and strives to change to make up for it.
Maybe he gets support from friends and/or family, maybe even a clan or cross-clan boyfriend to help him make amends and even shed some of his cross-clan prejudice. This last part is the most open one because I would like to see how things would go depending on who is involved. I would very much like if he would make amends to his mother too, if he starts resenting her as an apprentice. He still may resent one to all parents about the pressure he felt under, but open to make amends with them. He will seek out his siblings to make amends too. He will then start looking for who he is and, especially, who he wants to be from then on.

Jadethorn: As a kit he is very close to his mother, sometimes bringing her flowers and trinkets he finds in his adventures, as much as he may even fight with her, he would still love her very much. As an apprentice he will start to distance himself, he would still look up for her, especially as a warrior, but he will have ambivalent feelings about her.

Wolfpack: As a kit he will test some limits to what he can and can't do with his father, depending on this he may be close or not to him. As an apprentice he will look up for him a lot, he will eat up everything he says, especially if he or a close friend of his becomes Opal's mentor. If he is not his mentor, he still may come to him for pointers on how to become a better warrior. I feel like his late self as a warrior may disappoint Wolfpack and they may have a strained relationship, but open to whatever!

TBD-kits: As a kit he will be protective of them and help take care of them. As an apprentice, his relationship will be determined by how well his siblings get along with their parents' expectations. At this point, if he favors one father over the other, he may favor the siblings that are of this father over the other ones. As a warrior, he will try to befriend his siblings again, but it's up in the air whether he will be able to or not.

Kithood friends: He will be coming from many friends from kithood to only the friends he feels are not beneath him, in his apprentice years. As a warrior he may try to reconnect with old friends.

Apprentice friends: As an apprentice he will only befriend those he sees as excelling in the areas he considers important. As a warrior he may try to reconnect with the apprentices that at the time he considered to be beneath him.

Warrior friends: As a kit he will find adults mostly boring, but as he becomes an apprentice, he will favor adult friendships, especially those known for being excellent warriors. He will try to act more mature than his age to favor those friendships.

TBD Warrior: I would love it if one of his parents was a mentor, but in any way he will respect and look up to his mentor. He will do his best, wanting to be praised as often as possible.

Bearing a striking resemblance to his father, Obsidiankit was named for his bold coat. The structure of his face resembling his mother more. Though, his coat is thick. Obsidian's eyes reflect a tawny hue. Much lighter than his father's. His iris's hinting at the soft and fearful character beared beneath.

His morals are formed heavily by his parents. Hoping to grow half as strong as his father, Obsidian trains his hardest. He longs for the continued affection of his mother. Seeking her out for assistance in maintaining his coat long into adulthood.
