Welcome to ShadowClan's assignment hub! Here will be our headquarters for all things "mentorship", with the main priority being pair assignments. See below for additional information and services.
Characters will randomly be assigned by Sablestar without confirmation of the pair unless otherwise requested. If you are hoping for a specific pairing, please let gonkpilled know through the discord!

POSSUMGRIN — he will be a very hands off mentor and prefer the apprentice to take the lead. this will also be his first apprentice and he's had minimal experience watching others train younger cats. will have casual expectations and if they fail he will feel indifferent. if you're looking for kind of a sucky/neglectful mentor he would be the perfect fit! traits he would pass on would be very negative so he would fit best with someone who is trying to put those traits onto their oc or have a character that actively calls him out for said behavior ; casual activity
WOLFPACK — wolf is a savage cat who puts himself and his own before anyone else. any youth he mentors will likely be passed down a similar mentality, put through rigorous, claws-out training in order to produce the most efficient and ruthless warrior possible. wolf believes the strong will rule the world and that the weak only exist at their behest, and will be a known codebreaker who openly promotes thievery, murder, and doing whatever it takes to win. honor, justice, and mercy aren't words you'll find in his vocabulary, and any apprentice assigned to him will have their physical and mental limits tested ; flexible-high activity -
When it comes to assessments, Sablestar loves testing apprentices based on what sparked his separation from the Colony- hunting skills are a priority and fighting skills secondary. A standard assessment looks like an evaluation of one's tracking abilities through the strong smells of the swamp, where an apprentice will be tasked with discovering three warriors (typically their mentor and two trusted warriors) that have masked their scent with mud. Sablestar requires a total of three assessments spaced between one and a half moons to measure the apprentice's progress.
As ShadowClan grows and develops along with Sablestar, assessment styles and their requirements may change in the future.
While it is not required by any means, assessments can be the perfect place for some juicy character development... and a perfect opportunity for Sablestar to choose a warrior's name based on their prowess in skill, attitude, or any remarkable attributes he notices.
