PROMPT: The Clan is in dire need of moss, if they are to get a wink of sleep. Rains have created an abundance of it, but the moor is not the best spot for them. Do you risk crossing over onto enemy territory for it?
This was ridiculous.

Silentstep continued to force her paws forward into the border of Shadowclan. She hated the thought of needing to scavenge from someone else's side... But, perhaps instead of just snatching and running away, she could just ask.
Was it stupid for her to go here alone? Yes, but she needed the quiet time to herself, and recollect all the thoughts she had once buried. One's Silentstep wasn't able to pay attention too during the storm.

The ache feeling of failing to help Meadowpaws herbs during the flood continued to grow. Hopefully, she could repay the favor and return just a handful of moss to help restock on supplies back in... Windclan. Or, what's left of it...

She continued to trudge along. Her fur covered in stains of mud, along with bits of her coat slightly matted together from the earths dirt. Upon reaching the border, Silentsteps nose tickled by the thick scent of Shadowclan lingering in the air... She was here.

This... Must be it.
With tired eyes, she scans her surroundings. Hoping to maybe spot a patrol, or a cat that too had the same idea of roaming at this very hour. She carefully sits down and curled her anxious paws with her tail to keep them warm as she waits for a sign of any cats.

Silentstep has entered the edge of Shadowclans border to request some moss! If you're interested in throwing your cat, feel free to ask in my Discord channel #angels-enchantment!

The scratches over her eye had healed into scars as well as her shredded ear and shoulders, now that she was feeling more confident about leaving camp Sealdawn was determined to catch at least something. Surely there was still prey in Shadowclan territory, she just needed to look. A huff of frustration left her as a scent that was decidedly NOT prey reached her nose. Why was Windclan here at the border?

Padding through the brush and finally poking her head out, she frowns. A single warrior? She looked like she'd been dragged through the mud, what was going on in their territory..? Sealdawn clears her throat as she steps fully into view. "Is there something Shadowclan can help you with, miss...?" She trails off, realizing that she's never seen this stranger before and couldn't address them by name. "If you have a message for Sablestar, I can pass it along, otherwise you should head back home. You're scaring away all the prey."

She quickly pulled her focus over toward the appearance of the Shadowclan cat. You could tell she immediately straightened her posture, to look formal now toward this interaction. But still, the tiredness remains stained on her face.

" Ah...! Y-Yes, I'm... terribly sorry for the disturbance... " She says, bowing her head in an apology gesture toward Sealdawn.
" I'll be quick to not cause any more trouble... But, you see... " A tired sigh releases from Silentstep. Before beginning her explanation, she gave a sorrowful look. " We... We just dealt with a horrible storm that had caused a...fl...flood… "
Her words trailed off for a second. The result of it was by a sudden knot that developed from within Silentsteps throat. Those words painfully struck a reminder of the treacherous storm her and the clan had to endure. But, she pushed it down to continue.
" A-… And w-we're very low on supplies right now, especially with moss... " While she explains her clan's horrid status, in habit, Silentstep began to drag her paw against the dirt, a coping habit that helped ease her nervousness when participating in social interaction.

" If... If it's possible... Could I... uhm, gather some moss for my...my clan? If-If not, that's fine...! I-I just...thought I would ask... " The fawn tabby says, in a tired tone, with a tinge of plead seeping through. And tipped her head down once again, but to focus on the earthy ground after voicing the request.

Run boy run! The sun will be guiding you
Run boy run! They're dying to stop you
Run boy run! This race is a prophecy
Run boy run! Break out from society

Flamerunner padded after Sealdawn, curiosity bright in his icy blue eyes as they landed on the WindClan she-cat before them. She looked like she'd been through the brambles and back, fur ruffled, paws muddy, and a tension in her stance that spoke of exhaustion and worry. Whatever had happened across the moor hadn't been pretty. " Like this sprout here says. " he quipped, flashing a lazy grin and flicking his tail toward Sealdawn. " No hunting with an anxious WindClanner at the border. Bad for focus. " The grin softened the edge of his words, teasing but not unkind, before he settled himself beside the kid he saw as a little sister. His sharp gaze quietly studied the she-cat as she spoke. He knew her name... It was... Something... Step...

A flood, huh? That explained the state she was in. His ears twitched, glancing toward Sealdawn as their eyes met. There was a flicker of understanding there and something heavier. He didn't like seeing her caught in things like this again... He didn't want Sealdawn to get the brunt of it...

As the WindClan cat mentioned their need for moss, his nose wrinkled slightly. Moss. Of all things, it had to be moss. He could already hear Sablestar's scolding voice in his head: ShadowClan's resources are for ShadowClan. But this wasn't prey or herbs, it was moss... Soft, useless stuff unless you needed comfort. And clearly, this poor cat did. And plenty others in the moor too... And who knew, maybe Sablestar wouldn't make a fuss about it. Maybe all would be well. Maybe he was making it bigger than it was in his mind.

He sighed through his nose, the corners of his mouth quirking downward before he leaned closer to the WindClanner, his tone dropping low. " Ah, stars... I'd love to say yes. " he murmured, voice thoughtful now. " But if word gets out, Sab's gonna have my tail. " His whiskers twitched with dry humor before his expression softened again as he turned to Sealdawn, leaning over to her in a somewhat secretive manner. " Still... It's just moss. We could gather a bit, pass it over the border, and no one's the wiser. Yeah, don't you think? " he suggested to his fellow ShadowClanner.
