Quell is a sleet-grey feline with an almost lynx point colouration and icy blue eyes.
A darker shade of grey dapples their limbs from the elbows down to their paws. Their halved tail also takes on the pattern as well. About their profile is a paler base that has a subtle, dilute tint—which, too, is accentuated by sharp, contrasting stripes of deep grey that emerge along their cheeks, around their muzzle, and in their brows.
Their face is somber, their posture stiff, and their tone of voice level at all times. They are a lean, leggy cat of narrow build, who seems to move more methodically than naturally.

Quell is best known for their patience, composure, and mental fortitude. They are deliberate in their action, meticulous in their execution, and difficult to shake. An adept judge of character and their surroundings, their perceptiveness is heightened due to their honed attention to detail, making them a worthy opponent in the wild. Likewise, they are unbothered by petty acts of intimidation, mockery, and other attempts to undermine their self-worth. Quell is slow to anger as a result, and will maintain their decorum despite their outward apathy. They endure suffering through sheer force of will.
All the while, Quell can be construed as as stern and intolerant to some, and simultaneously as reserved and meek by others. It's a dichotomy that comes from their reluctance to correct the assumptions of others. As an extension, the absence of empathy towards other cats means that they have not found a compelling reason to ingratiate themselves with others, unless strictly necessary to survive. Their ability to resist desire (or to delay gratification) makes them unlikely to pursue vices or overindulge themselves.
Though those qualities lend themselves well to traits like self-preservation and caution, the cost is Quell's isolation at an intrapersonal level. Even under the purview of a social collective, their sense of alienation is ever present. While a capable teacher and hunter, their aptitudes come with the caveat of a mentor who lacks compassion or understanding. Furthermore, Quell's worldview does not take the emotions of their peers into account, which at worst, makes their judgement ruthless and merciless. Quell finds the value in every individual to be incalculably low in contrast to their sole survivorship and their personal vision. All that to say they are arrogant, however silent or benign it may appear at a glance.

If they were to sink their teeth around another cat's trachea, Quell would have no qualms to sever their breath permanently if not stopped.
They are poor at direct confrontation, having a wiry constitution and an overall lack of experience in head-on conflict. For those reasons, their tactics are deceptive, involving a number of feints, backpedalling, and defensive positions to to wear down a target's stamina before committing to anything fatal or overtly aggressive.
