Welcome to SkyClan's assignment hub! Here will be our headquarters for all things "mentorship", with the main priority being pair assignments. See below for additional information and services.

Characters will randomly be assigned by Hawkstar without confirmation of the pair unless otherwise requested. If you are hoping for a specific pairing, please let Loki know through the discord!

  • In order for your character to be eligible for a non-NPC mentor or apprentice, please fill out the form below to be matched to a played character.

  • BATWING — average activity ; he's one of the best climbers in the clan- nods towards the hawk thread- and deeply protective. Perhaps a bit of a martyr, will give his life to save another. Teaches selflessness and kindness, but also when to have fun and when not to. He's good at scouting and hunting. His apprentice will learn the code in full, and he's more likely to work with a rambunctious or slacker apprentice then scold them 24/7.

BUMBLEDAWN — casual activity ; young, boisterous and proud. This will be Bumbledawn's first apprentice, and he will likely make mistakes in teaching them. Will prioritise climbing and fighting over hunting & code, and then get irritated when their apprentice isn't great at those things. Easily swayed by requests to learn cool skills.

COMETGLOW — high activity ; he's a very silly light-hearted guy with a LOT of patience for whatever is thrown at him! he might be a little unsure of how to handle super wild or troublemaking apprentices, especially without accidentally encouraging it if they do something funny, but he'd try his best
  • DOWNYKIT — flexible activity ; Downy is very fun to write for and I plan to keep her active but life can get in the way at times. I'd like a mentor who is patient with activity but who can be active enough to get important threads done in a timely manner (like a month?) Also, little baby is deaf! I think she might work best with a mentor who can help her develop some form of kitty sign language and who is patient with her disability and how she doesn't speak. Small even as an adult (around 5 to 6 pounds), maybe someone who can teach her to use her size to an advantage? Also, I can picture her being a great climber in her warriorhood!
  • When it comes to assessments, Hawkstar loves testing her apprentices for three skills: the ability to problem solve, the ability to think under pressure, and creativity. Rather than a standard assessment - the same for every apprentice - Hawkstar attempts to formulate a problem for each to-be warrior, one that is made to target their exact strengths and weaknesses.

While it is not required by any means, assessments can be the perfect place for some juicy character development... and a perfect opportunity for Hawkstar to choose a warrior's name based on the skills they display! Below are the (optional) currently available prompts for the current season's warrior ceremonies:

Potential plots for apprenticeship: Nothing particularly honestly!
Activity level: Skyclan primary character, flexible activity, but a high active mentor would be nice!
Notes: He's an eager-to-please lad with a hero's complex requiring him to be braver than he is, stronger than he might ever be and more moral than most despite his naivety. It'd be cool if he got a mentor more rough around the edges, but anyone willing to take on this trembling sighthound of a cat on would be rad!

heehee first

Name: Teaselpaw
Potential plots for apprenticeship: Not much in my mind but I reckon whoever gets Teasel as an apprentice will have to have a lot of patience with the quiet cat.
Activity level: flexible, I've fallen quite in love with Teasel so I'll be active with the bean. Mentor doesn't need to be super high activity, but still active enough ya know♡
Notes: they're very soft, rarely speak and usually talk more in looks, gestures and touches. They're not much of a fighter, but will toddle after the medicine cats a lot to learn about that. They're gonna be very good at hunting.

Name: Downykit
Potential plots for apprenticeship: depending on the amount of FK I get during the apprenticeship, she *might* develop a power in the second half so that'll be interesting to play out as she learns how to use it!

Name: Batwing
Experience level: Average to high
Activity level: Flexible- I can and will keep up with him when/if needed but my priority is elsewhere!

Experience level: Low
Activity level: Casual & flexible! Bumble is not a priority character, but my muse is prone to big fluctuations <3

Potential plots for apprenticeship: no potential plots since they're going to be finishing their apprenticeship soon! but i'm also open to coming up with plots with whoever fuzzy gets, i just don't have any ideas atm!
Activity level: casual/flexible! fuzzy isn't a priority for me, but i want to post with them and get them more involved!

Name: cometglow
Experience level: average
Activity level: pretty high, i have a good amount of muse for him and he's definitely one of my priority characters :3

Name: @DUSKPOOL
Experience level: Experienced
Activity level: Primary character; High activity
Notes: May result in Duskpool unofficially adopting them into his hoard of children. He views his apprentices like they are his kids, meaning he wants the best for them and he will wage war on anyone who harms them, even if they've long become warriors. They'll forever be under his protection.

Duskpool is a stern mentor, firm in his teachings yet grounded in compassion. He refuses to mold his students to his image, rather guiding them toward their own strengths. He nurtures with patience, not pressure. And cross that line? You'll meet a force as sharp as steel and unyielding as stone. He draws the line with an iron paw, never hesitant to demand the best from those under his watch.

He ain't no tyrant. Failure isn't feared, but expected, even welcomed, so long as they're willin' to rise again. Duskpool has carried more than one apprentice through their darkest hour, becomin' less a mentor and more like a steady, father-like figure. There's a calm in him, vast and unwaverin'. His students are his responsibility, and he'll bear that weight with a quiet, relentless devotion.

Not one for drawn-out speeches or idle theory, Duskpool favors a hands-on approach. He teaches by doing, focused on the raw, necessary skills of survival: defense, hunting, and tracking. Climbing remains a weakness because of his size. In those moments, he defers to others, even offering guidance from below or on a low-hanging branch thick enough to hold his weight.

He trains with purpose because he knows just how high the stakes are. Life and death rarely pause for pride or grudges, so teamwork, even with those you'd rather see at your throat than at your side, is a cornerstone of his lessons. He works into their weaknesses with a steady, firm paw. He's never cruel, but he isn't soft; rather, he shapes a balanced skillset meant to endure.

And when his apprentices or shadows graduate and leave his care as warriors, they won't ever leave his heart. Duskpool watches over them still, steadfast in his quiet promise that he'll always have their backs.
