With sturdy pawsteps, Torrentsky padded through Riverclan's territory, jaws parted to let the scents of the forest flood his senses. He was headed towards the river, even though his patrols for the day had been long over, he figured any extra prey brought back to camp would be welcomed, especially with new joiners and kits on the way.

Suddenly, a flurry of urgent pawsteps caused him to freeze, his head snapping towards the sound. A frightened squirrel scurried across his path, tail streaming out behind it's plump body. Instinctively, Torrentsky darted after the creature, forest floor flying from his paws. Within a few quick strides, Torrentsky had gained on the creature, grasping it between his outstretched claws. the young warrior swiftly brought a blow to it's neck, causing it to fall limp in his jaws.

Lifting his head, Torrentsky's tail lifted in triumph--but his pride quickly diminished as the sound of larger, targeted pawsteps sounded from behind him. Suddenly understanding his mistake, Torrentsky spun around with a hardened gaze to meet his attacker, rooting his paws into the dirt to brace for what was coming.
