{$title} After a rainy period RiverClan takes the time to enjoy the sunshine and explore Pebble Falls!
After a stretch of brooding skies, the new-leaf showers finally relented. The clouds thinned and gave way to blue skies. A pleasant warmth returned with the sun, soaking into the rocks and glinting off the water's surface in shifting patterns.

The falls hummed in the background, a constant rushing of water beneath the sounds of splashing paws and chatter. Cats dotted the banks, some waded through the shallows while others plunged boldly beneath the surface. The water was clear today and ideal for diving.

Cats saw glittering in the water during patrols here and there. Adderfang had seen it too, but adding to his collection or sprucing up camp did not interest him right now.

Instead, he sat diligently near the water's edge, watchful eyes trailing the young cats that swam. Apprentices were among them, and someone had to be their eyes and ears in case the worst happened.

While acted as lookout, he noticed a warrior surface nearby with something in their jaws—a shell, its slick spirals catching the sun. His ears pricked and his head tilted to get a better look. He was reminded of the shipyard and all the shells just like it that sometimes washed ashore.

He thought of Wavesong and how difficult it'd been for her when they made the decision to leave after the shed collapsed. It had taken a great amount of selflessness to give something she loved so dearly up, to choose what was best for their future and their kits. Even now, after settling into their new home, he knew she must still miss it.

A frown tugged at the edges of his muzzle. He knew a gift like that would make Wavesong happy, and he would be too just seeing that gorgeous smile of hers. The Life Guard rose to his paws, but he was conflicted. His gaze drifted between the shell and the young cats still splashing nearby. There was no excuse worthy of abandoning his post. What if someone slipped beneath the surface while he was distracted and drowned?

It wasn't like Coyoteclaw had much else to do, the freshkill pile was plentiful, borders clear from intruders for once, so when she overheard Adderfang offering to bring a bunch of cats to the falls, she thought she might enjoy some lounging about. Better than hanging around camp and getting roped into den repairs, it was like she had two left paws when it came to weaving.

She tailed the group, mostly for the sake of the younger cats who begged to come along, wanting to swim at the bottom of the falls where the water was cool. While a cool plunge in the water seemed nice, she didn't mind playing babysitter. Making sure no one would get hurt from the rushing water or struggle swimming too long. It didn't take long for the furballs to run into the water, and other cats sat at the bank talking to themselves.

It was a little of an unsheathed paw, she preferred to keep cats at a tail's length, how many times had she had to leave her home? At least with the collapse of the shelter, everyone migrated at the same time, who's to say it wouldn't happen again? Something awful to split everything up. She didn't want to risk it. But even then, having few cats to talk to in the clan was a bitter feeling.

So when she spotted Adderfang, now at the bank keein an eye on the apprentices, she noticed an... Indeision? He kept peering into the water and back to the apprentices. She counted quickly, everyone was accounted for, so what was he antsy about? Curiosity got the best of her, may as well see what the grumpy tabby was thinking.

Striding over, she watched him, there was clearly something in the water that had caught his eye. So when she perched nearby and peered in the water too, something clicked in her brain. "You looking to dive for something?" The chimaera hummed, eyes flicking up to the apprentices in the water. "I've got my eye on 'em too, if that's what's stopping you?"

Simple and straight to the point, Adder would be fine giving up his self-imposed post to collect whatever trinket had caught his eye, though she wasn't about to go retrieve it for him. Coyote wasn't sure how skilled a diver the tom was, but you can always teach an old dog new tricks. Or a... Middle-aged cat new tricks?

"The sun is so nice," Frostmoth remarks to no one in particular, head tipped back to appreciate the robin-blue breaks in the new leaf skies. These days, the weather has been creeping up in temperature, and while it is nice to not have to huddle close to his denmates for warmth at night, it makes the humid air thicker and less tolerable. It makes Frostmoth find himself drawn closer to the bodies of water on RiverClan territory. And he isn't the only one either. He finds himself lounging quietly in the shallows, enjoying the cool water on his limbs with the drying sun along his back.

The deputy's mind is wandering, thinking about nothing in particular when Coyoteclaw's comment about diving catches his attention. He cracks open his eyes, eavesdropping. Coyoteclaw says something about something in the water, and Frostmoth can't help but to find his interest is now piqued. The deputy cranes his neck stupidly to look, but when he realizes that he can't see what they're talking about diving for, he stands to join them.

"Oh, you mean the sparkling stuff down there?" Frostmoth joins the conversation, eyes focused on the gleaming beneath the water. It's a few feet down, but Frostmoth hesitates to voice his apprehension at going diving for glitter. Maybe he'll let someone else take the charge and investigate. He somewhat doubts his own skills to bring him deep enough to collect whatever it is that sparkles like that and then bring it back to the surface successfully.

He continued to hesitate, paws shifting, patting down the grass while he fumbled with his decision. Well, he supposed that there was an option to return at a later time, once everyone was safe back at camp. Maybe he would get up early tomorrow and try…

A soft huff as he began, as he was about to dismiss the idea. But then Coyoteclaw stopped him, his head turned to look at the warrior, ears twitching. He was surprised not to find her in the water with the others. Coyoteclaw was more responsible than he gave her credit for.

His paws lingered a second longer before he nodded in her direction. As long as some cat was keeping a watchful eye on the youngsters, Adderfang supposed he could spare a few minutes to do some diving.

Finally, he stepped forward, whiskers twitching as he waded into the river. He swam up to his neck and took a deep breath before sinking into the river's embrace. The world above faded, replaced by the muffled sounds of water and the clarity of his mission. Bubbles seeped out around his mouth, paws striking through the water with skillful strokes.

He swam toward the riverbed, searching the bottom for anything that resembled the shell that he saw. Spotting something colorful in his peripheral, the tom turned and grasped it between his teeth and pushed off the bottom, ascending to the surface.

Breaking through the water, he shook drops from his fur and made his way back to the bank. He placed the… very much not a shell… down. Adderfang stares soggily at the object he returned with; A brightly colored fish shaped object with rubbery tassels.

// Rolled a 1d10 with a list of objects. Adderfang found fishing lure!
