Not some average bones, I believe in love!

⟡ Torrentpaw hesitantly tore his gaze from the water as Pine reached his side, trying his best to 'slow down' as Pine had seemed to have to remind him every other sentence. He couldn't help but gaze to and from the water's surface as Pine explained, his eyes begging for another fish to swim by so he too could tap the water--it was practically like magic. Though the mention of bugs was intriguing to Torrentpaw, his ears perking as he looked back at Pine, curiosity filling his gaze.
"So the fish thought you were a bug." Torrentpaw meowed, understanding lacing his tone. He always assumed that speed would be the main component of catching a fish, seeing as how quick they were themselves. Pine was fast, but his cleverness is what landed him such a great catch.
Eyes bright, Torrentpaw gazed back into the stream, lowering his body further as to ready himself. Please let it be a big one! He hoped, lifting one of his forepaws slightly off the ground, as if his life depended on tapping the water.
After what seemed like a decade had gone by, Torrentpaw tensed as he spotted a flash movement beneath the surface. As it grew closer, it was no doubt another fish. Torrentpaw quickly tugged at Pine's foreleg a few times with a paw to get his attention, not daring to speak or take his eyes off the creature as it neared them. Excitement fizzed through Torrentpaw from ears to tail tip as the size of the fish grew more apparent. It wasn't as big as Pine's salmon, but it sure looks like a bug-eater. He meowed to himself, before steadying his paws on the bank. Carefully, Torrentpaw reached a large paw above the water, tapping it delicately on the surface, before quickly drawing his paw back to the ground as the fish turned his direction in an instant.
The fish was murky colored, similar to the stream, and had long whiskers like a cat. Torrentpaw's own whiskers twitched in amusement at the appearance of the creature, but it only lasted a second as the fish's mouth breached the surface of where his paw made contact with the water.
Leaning forward, Torrentpaw lashed out fiercely towards the catfish, unaware that it was already too late. He was practically face-to-face with the fish itself, and as his claws grazed it's slippery body, it had already begun to thrash in attempts to escape. Without thinking, Torrentpaw lashed out another paw in order to save his catch, hooking it's gills. Torrentpaw let out an exhilarated mew of triumph, but it was cut short, as his imbalance against the bank caused his hind paws to slip, his weight making bits of rock and soil crumble along with him. Stomach twisting in alarm, Torrentpaw plunged messily into the stream with a splash, his forepaw still hooked into the body of the catfish.
Shock pulsed through him as he fought to hold onto the fish and regain his footing against the floor of the icy stream, water splashing into his face as the fish shook in his grasp. In a last ditch effort, Torrentpaw grasped the catfish with his teeth, tearing it from his claws as it continued to writhe vigorously in his jaws. Struggling to keep his head still and his grip steady, Torrentpaw's gaze searched for Pine as the fish seemed to have more control over him than he did.
