Once again, Dunkit found themself mostly alone in the nursery den. Normally, they prefer it this way but at the moment... they were having trouble focusing. No matter how they tried, they couldn't get into the little craft they were doing. I wish one of my siblings had stayed behind... they frowned and looked around the den.
Off in one corner, they spotted another kit. Dunkit wasn't sure what they were doing, but perhaps being nearer to another kit would help. Quietly, so as not to disturb the unfamiliar kit, they moved their little gathering of twigs and pebbles towards him. I hope this is okay... Don't wanna ask because what if it's a bother? no. I'm... I'm not too close. I'll be quiet.
With a little breath, they began pressing sticks and stones together pretty aimlessly.
Dawnkit didn't really know the foundlings very well, even if they only were a moon older than him. Even so, he had nothing against them - they seemed fine enough. So when Dunkit moved their little pile of sticks and stuff closer, Dawnkit just gave them a quick look before returning to grooming his pelt. After a bit of their silent activities, Dawnkit found he couldn't stand the quiet.
"Whatcha doing?" he asked, his little voice almost echoing in the empty nursery. Was Dunkit building something? Or trying to break something? It was very weird - but not in a bad way! Just not something Dawnkit was used to seeing.
