Hello, SkyClanners! Today marks one year since the first post in SkyClan's board, and the beginning of the Clan's Great Journey to the forest. To celebrate, we will be having SkyClan's first Badge Event— The Moonlight Celebration. Cats will reminisce on their past lives, prepare for winter, and test each other's knowledge in this event while kicking off with a party that will last November 15th – January 1st. During this time, there will also be mini events posted, so keep your eyes peeled!

This event requires points to be legible for a badge. Each character can receive a badge upon reaching 15 points that you can earn throughout the event! We want to keep it very easy and lax during the holiday seasons! Please see the tabs below for more information on how to earn points.


POINT DISTRIBUTION

- Posting in the Celebration Thread Automatically earns you 5 points!
- Completing any prompt gains you one point.
- During the Race to Winter mini event, you may earn points by successfully catching prey/gathering herbs! The more difficult the prey/herb the more points you earn up to 3 points! Also… roll a d100… the first to manage to roll a 69 posts the roll to Lokis channel as proof and takes the prize of 15 points which automatically qualifies you for the badge!
- During the Scavenging mini event, there will be three teams. The winning team will earn 8 points, while the others will earn 4 points!
- The final event is a storytelling and crafting event! This will be a very easy way to earn remaining points and participate in helping to create our history!

RULES & GUIDELINES

- Due to holiday season, we are requesting a minimum of 15 points to receive the badge- but will be given plenty of opportunities to earn points!
- Please be mindful of others and do not double post!
- For people with multiple characters: you may use multiple characters in the Celebration thread, but you're limited to one character in the other threads.
- After the event date, no further posts count for that section! (We will put open/closed on event threads!)
- Threads only count for points if there is a minimum of four replies!

MOONLIGHT CELEBRATION

November 15th - January 1st

This is the main event, where Skyclan Parties with their clanmates to celebrate the beginning of their journey to the new Skyclan lands! By joining this event led by our glorious Hawkstar, you automatically gain five points. This is a real quick and easy one to join and it remains open the entirety of the event so everyone can communicate and talk and celebrate. This is the Only Thread where all your characters can participate, but please be mindful of others!

prompts:
1. Tell a story about the code- how do you remember it being told? Is that how others remember?
2. Remember a time in the gorge! Does it make you smile knowing how far you've come?
3. Share a piece of prey with someone you don't normally talk to!
4. Why do you think Starclan guided us here?
5. It's been a year since SkyClan's arrival at the gorge… do you think your clan is doing better now, despite the hiccups?
6. The younger members probably don't remember, or weren't present for the journey, why not tell them a lighthearted story?

RACE TO WINTER

November 16th - November 30th

The first mini event starts the day after celebrating! The cold is biting at your face, but the first snowfall has not yet come…. Flowercloud and Stormcrow lead the hunt to gather prey and Swallowbreeze works alongside them to gather herbs and help teach clanmates along the way!

Earning Points:
For the Hunting side, roll a 1d10! Anything over a five counts as a success!
5- small prey (1 point) mammal
6- small prey (1 point) bird
7- medium prey (2 points) mammal
8- medium prey (2 points) bird
9- big prey (3 points) mammal
10- big prey (3 points) bird

Don't forget, roll a d100 alongside this if you wish to possibly find King Julian and bring his head to Hawkstar for a Grand Total of 15 points!!!!

Prompts:
1. your apprentice crosses the border- do you scold them? Why is this code so important?
2. Someone from another clan is caught stealing! What do you do?
3. One of the new apprentices seems to be playing with their food and not killing their prey immediately, how do you handle this?
4. Someone appears to be eating their catch they just caught!
5. Your prey skitters across the border- do you still chase it in these desperate times?
6.Think about or realize why Gaurds are such an important part of Skyclan culture.
7. An apprentice wonders why we have to mark and check the border every day anyways...

For the Herb side, roll a 1d10! Anything over a six counts as a success. Please also roll a 1d44 to determine what type of herb you get, but do not worry about the result, our medicine cat will log everything.

Prompts:
1. This herb seems browned from the cold... Could Swallowbreeze still use it?
2. A rabbit is eating a patch of herbs! Quick, try to save them! Roll a 1d10...
3. This is a huge patch of herbs! Quick, collect as many as you can!
4. Someone just stole an herb!!
5. Wonder if Swallowbreeze has any crushes, and why can't she have a mate? Maybe she'll tell us…
6. Hanging out with the Medicine Cat can make anyone feel psychological. Do you miss anyone? Would they be proud?
7. Take a break for a moment to appreciate the nature around you, it won't be like this for awhile since leafbare is soon.

> for those stuck in camp due to injuries/kits/caregivers/elders... Do not fret! Here are some prompts that anyone can be in!
Prompts:
- after changing moss, there seems to be excess; play a game of mossball to get to know others, make up stories, or anything you want!
- as the cold settles... Its beginning to feel drafty in the dens- help reinforce them so no one gets cold!
- with all the leaves scattered throughout camp... some have decided to push them into piles. do you jump or hide in them?
- some of this prey looks like it needs to go sooner than later... Besides we should prepare it so it lasts longer during winter!

SCAVENGER HUNT

November 30th - December 16th

Quailstep is organizing a scavenger hunt for cats to prove their knowledge of the code. Grab a team and search the forest for items to represent your knowledge!

Each team will have their own thread searching for their items - on each post, a character may roll a d10 - on a 6 or higher, your character finds an item aligned with one of the rules of the warrior code! If your team manages to collect 14 items by the end of the event, each member will receive 8 points. Teams which do not manage to collect the 14 items will still gain credit, each member will receive 4 points.

Characters may only join one team, but you may select which team you wish to join! Members can be of any rank, as there are options to find items both in and out of camp.

There will be 3 teams- Quailstep will help keep track of who is on what team and if the team collects all 14 items! Each team will have a separate thread that will be made by Plot.

Quailstep encourages you to use your own creativity in the items your cats find, but if you're stumped, we've compiled jumping off points below:
- Perhaps something we've used to defend our clan before…
- Maybe the borders would have what we need…
- Will Swallowbreeze allow anyone in the den to ask for help?
- Are we allowed to hunt on this adventure?
- What's something that could represent age?
- If we can find something quiet, or relating to night…
- Maybe Flowercloud could help us on this one…
- What could represent a change in leadership?
- Like the previous, maybe something to do with announcements?
- This one's easy! What could represent the border?
- Hmm, kits, huh? I'm sure the caregivers can help on this one!
- This one's kinda tough, but what would Hawkstar say/do?
- What could reflect showing mercy?
- Can we bring our relatives as a part of the scavenger hunt?

STORY TIME AND CRAFTS

December 16th - January 1st

In this event hosted by Brightnose, all SkyClanners, from kits to elders, can gather around in camp and share stories about the journey, the code, their Clanmates, or anything else involving their Clan! Alongside this will be a crafting circle - make something nice to decorate camp with or a gift for one of your Clanmates!

points:
+1 point for gifting another something you crafted
+1 point for listening to a story (can combine with crafting something)
+1 point for crafting something (can combine with listening to a story)
+2 points for Telling a story about memories of the journey
+3 points for Telling a story about what made the code Real

prompts:
1. One of the kits is begging to hear a story about the journey to the forest! They're clearly expecting a tale of glory and honor - will you ham it up a bit to appeal to the kits' whimsy, or will you tell things as they were?

2. The forest is great and all, but you find yourself reminiscing about your old home. Tell a story involving your fondest memory of the gorge.

3. Amongst all of your Clanmates, you can't help but notice that a few cats are missing. Share a story about a Clanmate who has passed on to StarClan to keep their memory alive.

4. That cat is sitting alone… do you want to give them a gift to keep the spirit of the festival alive?

5. A kitten is struggling with their craft and seems to be getting upset, help encourage them !
