Hello and welcome to Purrgatory! We are an 18+ Warrior Cat Roleplay set in an AU where the clans were unable to leave the forest territories and perished!
It has been 100 or more years since then, the clans of the forest are but distant memories to any cats still alive, stories passed down to kits of strangely named wild warriors and leaders with nine lives but the time of the clans is upon us once more and the stars shine yet again.
The mist was thick enough in places it almost felt hard to move, it was hard to tell if it was because she was not supposed to be here or this world was difficult to traverse by virtue of what it was; the in-between. Time seemed to drag on here slowly, slower even still than the place of no stars where her wounds ached endlessly and the forest warped around them to block out any light.
Through the veil of pale white miasma she saw the outline of the chocolate molly, her broader shoulders and head raised high despite the lack of visibility was hard to mistake for anyone else - leaders always did tend to keep themselves held in such a noble way even in death, pathetic really. What use was there for posturing now? In death you should be unapologetically raw, let everything you once held inside out, because what more punishment could be wrought upon you in the end of times.
"Coffeestar, darling, still roaming lost? Where's your little sidekick?" It was not often Thornstar was far from the tabby, as one of the newest founders to StarClan he clung to her like a lost kit; it might be endearing if it hadn't been so annoying but she had no qualms saying hello now that the older molly was on her own - if it came to a fight she could take the single opponent easily. Inky black pools formed beneath her paws as she sauntered closer, the ichor that dripped down her legs from the underbelly wound not visible from her front facing angle left her already dark limbs looking as if she trawled through the muck of her former home. ShadowClan hadn't changed too much since her time, perhaps a little more dry, more trees, somewhat displaced from the territory she once walked. "I took a visit to SkyClan recently, bet you miss them a lot don't you?"
Finding where Fray's soul had wandered might hold Thornstar's head more than his shoulders some days. The boy's love for his father had been endearing, especially to the molly that knew how her own children felt with both their parent's among the stars. Unfortunate that the ancient Clans had perished as they did. Had things been different, maybe Fray would have found his path behind her. But she is sure that this strange, endless land held his soul somewhere within it. The swirling thick of fog kept her senses dull, relying solely on luck to find even the slightest clue.
She hadn't yet met anyone since she began to explore the midworld. Not even any of the cats Thornstar knew that passed before the battle. Coffeestar has grown used to the way the world echoes her murmurs back to her for so long that when another voice interceded hers, she paused. Her expression fell from it's focus and twisted into something more disgusted. The smog split to reveal the ilk of seal pointed fur and a chilling stare, trailing through the muck that surged from her form.
"That is not for you to concern yourself about." Coffeestar answered coolly through narrowed eyes. The chocolate molly recoiled on the inside, being so close, but she dared not to take a step back for the Denizen to manipulate it in her favor. Every step would have to be made with quick yet thorough thought. She does not believe a creature of the Dark Forest to engage with her in any conversation that isn't an attempt to goad or insult.
"And you saw how strong they are, how the code still lives in their blood, then?" She mewed as the image of Hawkstar's bloodied maw flashed behind her eyelids. "They are finally in their rightful home, as StarClan planned."
