It has been 100 or more years since then, the clans of the forest are but distant memories to any cats still alive, stories passed down to kits of strangely named wild warriors and leaders with nine lives but the time of the clans is upon us once more and the stars shine yet again.

Pebble's ears perked up as Beetle padded over to join them, and a happy chirrup escaped his lips. His wide grin stretched across his face as he called out a cheerful greeting. " Hi Beetle! Hi Glade! " His eyes gleamed with excitement, looking from one familiar face to the other, then glancing at the newcomer with a spark of curiosity. He was so eager to meet new cats, and this one certainly piqued his interest, though he noticed a bit of tension in the air. Coyote seemed... unsure? Pebble's enthusiasm remained unshaken, but a flicker of concern crossed his mind. Was he coming on too strong?
He shifted his attention back to Beetle and Glade as they exchanged a brief moment of closeness, his heart fluttering a little for them. They really seemed to like each other! Pebble couldn't help but feel warm at the sight, even if it made him feel a little awkward in comparison.
As Coyote spoke, Pebble's whiskers twitched with a mix of confusion and excitement. " Coyote... That's an awesome name! " he exclaimed, eager to focus on something positive. But his joy faltered just a bit as the moment felt a little off. What had Dusty said about chickens again? He blinked a couple of times, trying to recall the conversation but failing to make sense of it all. He glanced up at Dusty briefly, confusion clear on his face, before taking a deep breath and stepping forward.
" Well. " Pebble mewed brightly, trying to regain his earlier excitement. " Chickens are pretty cool, right? " He brushed lightly against Coyote, offering a soft nudge, a gesture of reassurance, hoping that his flustered energy wouldn't be too overwhelming. His smile remained genuine, but he was careful now, hoping not to make the other feel uncomfortable.
